
The FCC has approved the Navigon 5100 Max GPS navigation system. This gadget comes jam packed with Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free communications, a 4.3 inch display, text-to-speech functionality for easy navigation, lifetime traffic and Zagat ratings. Here is the latest high-end GPS device from Navigon that will be released in October 2008. The Navigon 7200T GPS Navigation System is powered by a Centrality Titan 600MHz processor with an updated GPS chip, reality-View with 3D buildings, Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, Lane Assistant mode and supports hands-free speakerphone. Navigon has announced that they will be dropping the 2120 and 2100 ma navigation systems for the States and Canada. There will be a new DirectHelp feature that spots a user’s location and gives you instant links to nearby services such as hospitals, pharmacies and roadside assistance. The Navigon 2100 max and 2120 max also feature a large 4.3 inch widescreen, text-to-speech so you can concentrate on the road and not on the device, Reality View with photo-realistic 3D images of highway interchanges, along with Lane Assistant allowing you to choose the correct lane for upcoming exits and entrance ramps. Additional features include FreshMaps service offering a 12 field-verified quality controlled map and POI updates over a 3-year time frame. The Navigon 2100 max with maps is going for $299 and the Navigon 2120 max with maps for both US and Canada is available in Canada for C$329. [MobileWhack]

Navigon has showcased their new 2100 Max GPS system at CeBIT08. It comes with a 4.3″ widescreen touch screen display, reality view of interchanges and highway exits, direct help for access to emergency POI, freshmaps (optional at $79) that allows up to 12 map updates in a quarter, lane assistant, route planning with multi-destination routing, and speed warnings. Navigon is set to introduce the Navigon 8110 GPS which the Navigon MobileNavigator 7.0 software that includes voice synthesis and voice recognition, not to mention a whole bunch of other things you could want in a GPS. Navigon released the Navigon 2120 GPS navigation gadget for use in North America and Canada. The device has the text-to-speech functionality, and the reality view which promises to bring 3D, photo-realistic views of complex interchanges, complete with road geometry and actual road signs to your dashboard. Other features include a 3.5inch touch screen and preloaded maps of Canada. The driving directions and street names are in both English and Canadian French. Navigon 2120 retails for $312 CAD. You can also buy the live traffic info and Zagat Survey Ratings for an extra $145.
