
NEC comes back with two new netbooks from its LaVie Light series. Dubbed as the LaVie Light BL300 and BL100, both netbooks come with Wi-Fi, and a 10.1-inch LCD with LED backlight. The BL100 is powered by an Intel Atom N270 CPU and a 16GB SSD, meanwhile the BL300 features an Intel Atom N280 CPU with an option of 160GB HDD or a 16GB SSD. No info on pricing so far. The VE570/TG is the latest all-in-one PC from NEC that is powered by a 18.5-inch LCD screen with 1366 x 768 resolution, a 1.5GHz AMD Athlon X2 e3250 CPU, an AMD M690V chipset, a 2GB of RAM, a 500GB of HDD, and Wi-Fi. No info on pricing so far. [Akihabara]

NEC comes back with two high-end projectors for educational facilities, small-to-medium-sized businesses and corporate applications that require a short throw distance in classrooms and conference rooms. The NEC NP500WS is a wide-aspect ratio projector that boasts 1280 x 800 native resolution at 2100 lumens. Meanwhile, the NEC NP600S offers a 1024 x 768 native resolution at 2600 lumens. If you’re looking for a large format display on the market, the NEC MultiSync X451UN can be an option. It boasts a 46-inch display with ultra thin screen bezel that’s measured at a mere 7.3mm, and it’s configurable of up to 10×10 matrices to deploy a seamless video wall at a total surface area of approximately 645 square foot screen. Other features include: 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, 1,360 x 768 WXGA native resolution, 700 cd/m2 brightness and 3,000:1 contrast ratio. NEC has recently unveiled its latest Messenger watch phone, the M155. This ultimate messaging device is ideal for use in professional healthcare and hospitality environments. The device comes packed with a speaker phone, a wireless messaging device, an alarm clock, a three-line display and is easy to wear on the wrist or as necklace. The NEC MultiSync LCD2690W2-BK-SV (26-inch) and LCD3090W-BK-SV (30-inch) displays come bundled with the SpectraView color calibration sensor and software. The company offers the SVII-PRO-KIT as an accessory for select NEC LCD displays and includes the new color measurement sensor and SpectraViewII calibration software. The SVII-PRO-KIT retails for $329. Meanwhile, the SpectraViewII software (SVII-SOFT) is also sold separately at an estimated street price of $104.99. NEC of America today introduced the new member of MultiSync P series. The 22-inch P221W is specially designed for professional graphics who demand high quality LCD screen. The new widescreen monitor offers a 1680×1050 resolution, 96% wide color gamut coverage of AdobeRGB, automatic brightness adjustment, 1000:1 typical contrast ratio, 16ms response time, XtraView+ 178-degree viewing angle, and four-way ergonomic stand. NEC USA has unveiled its New MultiSync P Series 22-Inch Widescreen Desktop LCD for professional use. Dubbed as the NEC P221W, the LCD monitor boasts a max resolution of 1,680×1,050, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, a brightness of 300cd/m², a response time of 16ms. The LCD screen will offers a high quality pictures thanks to the S-PVA LCD technology, the XtraView+ viewing angle, and the AmbiBright automatic brightness adjustment. It seems that NEC is trying to enter the netbook market with the release of the new LaVie Light. The netbook comes jam packed with an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 8.9 inch LCD display, 160GB hard drive, 1GB RAM, Wi-Fi connectivity, three USB 2.0 ports, SD memory card slot, and a 1.3MP camera. NEC has launched two new MultiSync LCD monitors in the form of the 24-inch MultiSync EA241WM widescreen LCD monitor and 19-inch MultiSync EA191M standard-format LCD monitor. The wide-format MultiSync EA241WM offers 1000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m² brightness and full 1080p high-definition 1920 x 1200 native resolution. Meanwhile, the standard-format (5:4 aspect ratio) MultiSync EA191M features a top-of-the-line PVA panel, which is ideal for the financial and specialty markets. This display screen features 1280 x 1024 native resolution, 1500:1 contrast ratio, four-way ergonomic capabilities (height, swivel, tilt, pivot), integrated speakers, and brightness level of 250 cd/m².
