NEC offers a new eco-friendly LCD screen, the MultiSync EA221WM. This 22inch monitor features a 1,680×1,050 resolution (WSXGA), a viewing angle of 176 degrees, a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, a 250 cd/m² brightness level, four-way adjustable stand (110mm height, tilt, swivel, pivot), and down-firing speakers with headphone jack. There are also four USB 2.0 hub, HDCP via DVI, and HDMI-compatible via adapter. It is a green LCD display which means it requires less power to operate. NEC today rolled out two new MultiSync monitors, known as the 32 inch MultiSync LCD3215 and the 42 inch MultiSync LCD4215. Both LCD screens offer 1,366 x 768 resolution, 500 cd/m2 brightness level, 800:1 contrast ratio, DVI with HDCP, 4×4 TileMatrix capabilities, and landscape and portrait orientation. NEC today released two spanking new DLP projectors, the NP41 and NP61, with 2300 and 3000 lumens, respectively. Weighing at 3.5 pounds, these portable projectors feature 1600:1 contrast ratio, XGA 1024×768 resolution, “BrilliantColor” technology, AutoSense, 15-pin RGB, RCA, S-Video input connectors and audio input, HD compatibility, ECO Mode technology and quiet operation at less than 32dB. The NEC EA261WM LCD monitor is a 26 inch screen that offers WUXGA resolution, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 400 cd/m2 brightness level, 5ms response time, 92% color gamut, 4-port USB hub, 4-way adjustable stand and on-screen display controls. NEC today introduced two new projectors, the NP905 and the NP901W. The NP905 offers 1,024 x 768 (XGA) native resolution while the NP901W provides 1,280 x 800 (WXGA) resolution. Both projectors also features a maximum resolution at 1,600 x 1,200 (UXGA). The NP905 has a brightness of 3,000 lumens while the NP901W has a 2,000 lumens brightness level. Other features include HDMI 1.3, a couple of VGA, RCA and S-Video inputs, with audio output courtesy of basic RCAs and mini stereo plugs. Its 3 inch VGA (640 x 480) display screen is perfect for watching videos or web browsing. Other features includes HSDPA connectivity, GPS, Yamaha audio chip for crisp and clear sound, Micro SD card slot and support for majority of audio and video formats. NEC today introduced a new VersaPro VE laptop that comes with an “Eco Button”. Using this button, it will decrease energy consumption by 20% by reducing the CPU speed and screen brightness. NEC claims its new Versa S9100 laptop to be the “toughest notebook in the world”. Its top cover is specially built to withstand a massive 300Kgs per square foot of pressure. However, the keyboard itself is not water resistant, too bad for a “toughest notebook in the world”.
