Nokia Twist Unveiled

The Nokia Twist (model 7705) is a square-shaped phone that comes jam packed with a swivel-out QWERTY keyboard. As a Verizon phone, the Twist provides you access to V Cast music and video. The handset also supports visual voice mail. Additional features include a full HTML browser, a 3MP camera, and a “post to blogs” function for easy uploading of your media to the internet. Nokia Booklet 3G Netbook

Nokia has announced their first netbook in the form of the Nokia Booklet 3G. The 10-inch netbook comes with an Intel Atom processor, an “HD ready” LCD display, an integrated A-GPS, Ovi Maps software, HDMI out, and an impressive 12-hour of battery life. The Nokia Booklet 3G also features a built in 3G/HSPA and Wi-Fi that will provide high speed Internet access on the go. Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition With Lifetime Navigation

Nokia will launch the new Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition in the third quarter of 2009. The handset comes bundled with lifetime WALK navigation and voice-guided DRIVE licenses. Each purchase will come with a Nokia car kit, a car charger, and the latest version of Ovi Maps, which includes high-res aerial images, weather service, terrain maps, and 3D landmarks for over 200 cities. Upcoming AT&T Nokia Surge

AT&T Nokia Surge To Be Released on July 19th, 2009

AT&T has joined once again with Nokia to release the Nokia Surge, an entry-level S60 handset with slide-out QWERTY keyboard and 3G connectivity. The phone comes jam packed with a 2.4-inch (240 x 320) LCD display, a 2MP digital camera, A-GPS with AT&T Navigator support, and AT&T Video Share for video calls. In addition, the phone also supports a full messaging suite, including IM, SMS, MMS and email. Its JuiceCaster feature allows you to upload and share pictures and videos from the handset to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr. The browser has Flash support for streaming video, and various mobile music download options such as Napster, eMusic and XM Radio.

The Nokia Surge will be available on AT&T from July 19th, 2009 for $79.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. It will require a two-year agreement on both a voice plan (minimum $39.99) and data plan (minimum $30), which adds up to $1,759.75 over the course of the contract. Read more

Nokia 3720 Classic Rugged Phone Introduced

Nokia will release its new Nokia 3720 classic rugged phone for the mass market. The handset is an IP-54 certified mobile phone that is specially designed to resist water, dust and shock. Measuring 115mm x 47mm x 15.3mm and weighing 94-grams, the phone is encased in durable materials and is entirely sealed to protect the inner electronics. Available in grey or yellow, the Nokia 3720 classic also comes with a battery cover that is locked with a screw, making for worry-free usage in wet, dusty or muddy environments. Other features include a LED flashlight, a 2.2-inch QVGA display, a 2-megapixel camera, a 20MB internal memory, a microSD card slot and a 2.5mm headphone jack. Nokia N97 Coming To 3 UK With Free Skype Calling

The Nokia N97 will soon make its way to 3 UK before the end of this month (June). Unlike most carriers, 3 UK is offering you free Skype-to Skype calls across most of its range. The phone itself will be sold for £319.99 (€375 or $527) on pay as you go, or with a contract agreement for at least £35 a month. Nokia N97

The highly anticipated Nokia N97 and N86 are now available in the UK. The N97 is going to be exclusively on sale through Nokia stores for one week and from June 26 it will be available through many retailers and carriers including Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange, 3 Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U. For £499 (€589 or $820) you’ll be able to get your hands on the unlocked version of Nokia N97, while the unlocked N86 8MP can be bought for £399 (€470 or $656). Read more

Nokia E72 Appears On YouTube Video

Here’s a leaked video of Nokia’s upcoming E72 smartphone, which seems to be the successor of the recently released Nokia E71. This video was accidentally posted on YouTube by Nokia Conversations, a blog officially run by Nokia. However, not much info is given at the moment, but from what we heard, the handset will sport a 5MP camera with flash, a redesigned QWERTY keyboard, a new navigation pad and a 3.5mm headset jack located on the top side. Vodafone is set to launch another candybar phone from Nokia namely the Nokia 6730 classic starting June. This new handset will be available exclusively across Vodafone’s global footprint, meaning in many European markets, as well as some African and Asian ones. Running on Symbian S60, the 6730 boasts a 2.2-inch QVGA display with 16 million colors, a 3.2MP camera with autofocus and LED flash, GPS, Nokia Maps, personal & business email, Mobile Internet support, Vodafone Music Client, a 1GB microSD card, Bluetooth and supports both quad band GSM connectivity (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) as well as dual band HSDPA connectivity (900/2100 MHz).
