Lenovo today launched the new ThinkPad X300 13.3 Inch notebook. The ultraportable laptop weights at just 2.9 pounds. It combines a number of leading technologies including solid-state drive storage, a LED backlit display, enhanced wireless connectivity, an integrated 7-millimeter slim dual layer DVD burner, WWAN, built-in GPS and fingerprint reader. Mouse Computer has released three new colored 12.1, Penryn M-Books in Japan. They come with a Core 2 Duo T8100 CPU, with 2GB of RAM, 80GB of SATA HDD, Wifi ABGN, X3100 Video Chipset, DVD DL Multi, HDMI output, and a 1.3Mpix web camera. Germany will be receiving the new MSI PR200 YA Edition notebook featuring Windows Vista Home Premium, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and the 12.1″ TFT WXGA display, WLAN 802.11n wireless networking, integrated fingerprint reader along with a 4-in-1 card reader, a DVD Super-multi drive, 1.3 megapixel webcam and HDMI output. The new Area-51 m17x notebook by Alienware has been released. It features NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX graphics card, three hard drives with SmartBay, an LED-illuminated keyboard, and 1080p video and HD audio support and is powered by a Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme processors. Sony has announced that their Vaio Type A AV notebook will have some additional features added on. The 17-inch will still have a WUXGA screen and a BLu-Ray drive, but it now has a Core 2 Duo T9300 (2.5GHz), 400GB en RAID 0, Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT and a Digital TV Tuner. Sounds like notebook fans everywhere will have a great option as far as Sony goes.

Acer has announced that they will be releasing the AS5520-7A1G16 notebook in Japan. The AS5520-7A1G16 offers you a 15.4-inch screen and a 1,280 x 800 WXGA resolution. It runs on AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core processor and has 1GB memory as well as 160GB HDD. Acer has released it in Japan for a retail price of $930.

Gateway has just announced that they will be making new colors for the M and T series notebooks. The M-series will now come in Merlot, Silver and Arctic Bloom as well as Garnet Red and Pacific Blue. The M-Series has the Merlot and Silver, and both M- and T-Series get the Arctic Bloom. Gateway will be charging between $799.99 and $1,399.99. No word on when these notebooks will drop in stores.

Asus will release their new M51 series really soon. This notebook in particular has features that stand out like 15.4-inch screen, a WSXGA resolution and a built-in 1.3 Megapixel Swivel Webcam, 3 models: a high-end model, Asus M51SN with Intel processors Penryn, and two cheaper models, Asus M51Sr and M51Se, along with a Nvidia GeForce 9500M GS video card and an Intel CPU Penryn processor.
