MSI GX600 Gaming Notebook

MSI GX600 is a new notebook for gamers which features the company’s proprietary Turbo Drive Engine Technology. Using this technology, users can increase the speed of the CPU and system by 20% by simply pressing a silver button on the keyboard; that’s like a ‘turbo boost’ for a laptop.

The laptop is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Intel PM965 Express chipset, a 15.4-inch WSXGA+ display, and up to 2GB DDR2 533/667 memory. It adopts Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT display adapter with 512MB memory. No word on pricing or availability so far.

Sony SZ Laptops Released

Sony has updated its VAIO SZ notebook series by introducing the SZ6 models with Intel “Santa Rosa” laptop platform, hybrid graphics solutions, up to 200GB hybrid HDDs, and 13.3-inch LED backlight displays. The Sony VAIO SZ6 notebooks for the U.S. market come with Intel Core 2 Duo T7500, T7700, or T7250 processors. These laptops ship with 160GB hybrid hard drives (H-HDD) featuring 256MB of onboard Flash memory and 5400rpm rotational speed, or with the standard 120GB, 160GB or 200GB HDDs, depending on model. In addition, the SZ6s also feature built-in DVD burners. The SZ6 models are priced from $2,049.99 to $2,699.99.

HP Pavilion HDX Entertainment Notebook PC

The 20.1 inch HP Pavilion HDX notebook PC that was leaked in May is now available. The laptop is based on Santa Rosa platform and features Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz T7500 / 2.4GHz T7700 or 2.6GHz Core 2 Extreme X7800 processor, up to 4GB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics card with 512MB memory, HD DVD drive, 1680 x 1050 resolution, 320GB hard drive, HDTV Hybrid TV Tuner, fingerprint reader, Bluetooth, a/b/g/n wireless, webcam, HDMI, and Windows Vista operating system. HP Pavilion HDX retails for $3000.

If you need a laptop, but you don’t have enough money? Then check out the new laptop from Medison Celebrity. Priced at $150, this laptop is probably the world’s most affordable laptop currently. It features a 14-inch widescreen display with 1280-by-768 pixel resolution, Intel Celeron M Processor 370 at 1.5 GHz, a 256MB DDR2 memory expandable up to 1GB, a 40GB hard drive, and a Combo optical drive. It has the integrated VIA PN800 graphics, a 5.1-channel sound system, as well as Ethernet LAN and 802.11g wireless. This ultra-cheap laptop also comes with an optimized Linux operating system. Medison Celebrity’s laptop weighs around 4.85lbs with six-cell battery.

Toshiba Qosmio G45-AV680 Laptop With HD DVD-R Drive

Toshiba released their first U.S. notebook computer with HD DVD-R drive. Known as the Qosmio G45-AV680, this 17-inch notebook comes with a piano-key white glossy finish, back lit (blue light) control knobs, external USB HDTV Tuner, four Harman Kardon Bass Reflex stereo speakers with a built-in sub woofer, and Dolby Home Theater technology. In the inside, the laptop is powered by 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo T7300 processor, up to 4GB RAM, Intel Turbo Memory (1GB), 320GB hard drive, HD DVD burner, and Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT graphics card with 512MB memory (plus up to 255MB dynamically allocated shared memory using Nvidia TurboCache technology). The Qosmio G45-AV680 is now available for $3200.

Mouse Computer of Japan introduced their latest notebook PC called the LuvBook J120S. That’s right! Love it or hate it, this laptop is going to be called a LuvBook. It is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 processor, a 12.1 inch wide-screen WXGA LCD display, Intel 4965AGN WLAN, 1GB DDR2 memory (expandable up to 2GB), an 80GB SATA hard drive, 3 USB ports, and one Gigabit LAN port. The J120S also comes with Windows Vista Home Premium Edition operating system. Its DVD burner sports DVD+/-R, DVD+/-R and DVD+RW media. The LuvBook J120S retails for approx. $990.

HP Compaq 2710p Tablet PC Reviewed

TabletPCReview have given their first impressions of the HP Compaq 2710p tablet PC. It is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo ULV processor U7600 1.2GHz, Intel GMA X3100 graphics, 80GB (4200 rpm) hard drive, 2GB DDR2 SDRAM, and 12.1 inch Illumi-Lite WXGA UWVA anti-glare with Digitizer. Measuring at just 11.42inch x 8.35inch x 1.11inch, the HP Compaq 2710p tablet PC is priced at $2,300. Here is the verdict.

Performance wise the 2710p did great. I haven’t ran all the benchmark tests yet, so you will have to check back for those results and the hands-on video in my complete review next week. Overall this is a solid little tablet from both the build and design perspectives. It may not be full of features, but it has all the essentials.

Asus A8Sr notebook PC adopts ATI’s Mobility Radeon HD2400, an Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 / T7300 / T7100 processor, 14.1-inch widescreen display, Wi-Fi, and optional Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. The laptop also offers a total of five USB 2.0 ports, FireWire, VGA / DVI / S-Video out, a 56k modem, Ethernet, and a powerful six-cell battery. Pricing info is still a mystery.

Sony VAIO TZ Notebook Is Available In The U.S.

The Sony VAIO TZ 2.65-pound ultra portable notebook is now available in the States. The new Vaio laptop features a 11.1-inch screen, up to 7.5 hours of battery life, and Intel’s ultra-low voltage processor. Measuring less than 1-inch thin, the laptop has carbon-fiber casing in a classic black, premium carbon, champagne gold, and hand-painted Bordeaux variants, with the keyboard’s keys slightly raised above bezel layer. The standard VAIO TZ notebook will start at about $2,200, while the model with solid state drive will go for around $3,200. Both versions will be available in August this year.

19-inches isn’t what happens when you see the girl in this pic, rather it’s the diameter of the screen on this awesome Samsung laptop. Samsung’s latest 19-inch desknote, the Sens G25, comes jam packed with up to 320GB of hard drive, seven USB 2.0 ports, a numeric keypad, and an integrated AC power supply. FYI, the Desknote is a kind of notebook PC designed for using on the desk, which could be an alternative of a desktop PC. Its price tag start at $1,088.
