
The wait is over. Asus has finally announced the availability of Asus Eee PC 1201N laptop in the US market. It is actually the first ION-powered laptop from Asus that features a 1366 x 768 resolution LCD display with an nVidia ION graphics card, a 250GB hard drive, and an Intel Atom 330 dual core processor. The 12-inch laptop also provides three USB ports, an SDHC card slot, a VGA output, WiFi, Bluetooth, and an HDMI port. The Eee PC 1201N is scheduled to be released in mid-December 2009 for $499. The 13.4-inch Dell Adamo XPS is now available in the US market. Powered by Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit version), this MacBook Air competitor boasts an HD 16:9 WLED 720p display with a 1.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ULV CPU, a 4GB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR3 memory, and a 128GB Solid State Drive. Additional features include two USB 2.0 ports, a headphone jack, a webcam and mic for video conference, a Mini DisplayPort, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1. Sony comes back to the gaming laptop market by releasing three new laptops, which as part of the Vaio Fall-Winter Signature collection. The Sony Vaio VGN-FW590FFD comes jam packed with a 16.4-inch LCD display with a 4GB of RAM, a 500GB hard disk drive, a 2.53GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 processor and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 graphics. Meanwhile, the Sony VAIO FW Nebula features a 16.4-inch extra widescreen HD display, an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor (up to 3.06GHz) with Intel Centrino 2 technology, an ATI HD Graphics card with up to 1GB VRAM, up to 8GB of configurable RAM, up to 500GB hard disk drive or 256GB SSD, and up to 5.5-hours of battery life. Additional features include Bluetooth, HDMI, and a webcam.
Sony has also introduced the VAIO Signature Collection VGN-CW1FFX. Available in Royal Indigo, this limited edition gaming laptop boasts an nVidia GeForce GT 230M graphics card. Lenovo today introduced the IdeaPad Y550P notebook, which is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor with the Turbo Boost technology. The Lenovo IdeaPad Y550P is ideal for gamers who need a powerful gaming laptop. Acer has rolled out the new Acer Aspire 5738DG 3D notebook in the US market. HP Compaq today unveiled their latest 15.6 laptop that is aimed at first PC buyers or users who do basic computing tasks like web, music, email and watching DVD. Priced at $399, the HP Compaq CQ61 is powered by a 2GHz AMD Sempron M100 processor with an ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics, a 2GB of RAM, a WXGA LCD screen, a 160GB HDD, a DVD burner, and Windows 7 Home Premium. HP has collaborated with rapper Dr Dre to release a limited edition HP Envy 15 Beats. The laptop will feature a Beats sound system and a piano black high gloss finish, and a signature Beats design. The 15.4-inch laptop is powered by a 1.6-GHz Core i7 processor with a powerful nVidia GeForce GTS 250M graphics card, a 2.0 webcam, a Blu-ray drive, a 4GB DDR3 RAM, a 500GB HDD, two HD speakers, and Windows 7 Home Premium. Using this hardware configurations, latest PC games will run smoothly. Measuring 360mm x 260mm x 36mm and weighing 2.7-Kg, the laptop also supports 802.11 b/g/draft-n Wireless LAN with Bluetooth, a VGA output (15-pin, D-Sub), HDMI, a 4-in-1 card reader (XD/SD/MMC/MS), and two USB ports. The laptop comes jam packed with a 1.3GHz Intel SU7300 ultra-low voltage processor with an Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics, a 1,366 x 768 glare-type LED backlight display, up to 4GB RAM, a 320GB hard drive and Windows Vista Home Premium OS. Additional features include a DVD burner, a VGA webcam, HDMI and VGA outputs, and 802.11b/g/n WiFi connectivity. Asus claims that the UL50 will provide up to 11-hours of battery life.
