Designers Art Lebedev present this OLED numeric pad that will surely bring a whole new meaning in your typing experience. It consists of 15 keys and only one USB hub port. Samsung SDI and Bundesdruckerei from Germany have designed the OLED passport which is claimed to be completely manipulation-proof. The ePassport features a 700µm polycarbonate data page that holds an active matrix bendable 300µm OLED display. The OLED display will be able to display both video and text containing information about the passport holder. The OLED passport doesn’t require any batteries to run because it will come to life only when activated by a reader. [Gizmodo]

Sony has introduced its new 11-inch (960 x 540) OLED display that is only 0.3mm-thick which is much thinner than its more expensive model, the XEL-1. No word on availability or a price tag for this sleek and slim display. [Gizmodo] More

Kaga Japan has collaborated with Kodak to release the KTEL-30W Elite vision. It is a portable 3 inch wide OLED TV that is using advanced organic EL luminescent material to produce a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Available in a shiny golden color, the display is powered by a Lithium Ion battery which provides 3.5 hours of operating time. Seen at CES 2008, the Sony 27†OLED TV is pretty appealing to the eyes with its great image quality. So far there’s no detailed specs on this beauty, but they’re should be soon along with a release date.

Here is a picture of of the Oled concept watch which shows a field of dots, or “stars” when it’s not showing you the time. When you either tap or shake the watch, the dots rearrange into a analogue interface. Looks and seems like a pretty cool idea, however, this watch by Lv Zhogfang’s is merely a concept as of right now. But if this ever is manufactured you might want to check this on out!

Samsung introduced the world’s first bendable OLED display at the FPD International 2007 in Yokohama Japan. The 4.3 inch display provides a resolution of 480 x 272 dots, brightness of 200 cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 1000:1.
