Onkyo has announced the TX-NR809 7.2-channel network-capable A/V receiver. As a successor to the TX-NR808 model, the new TX-NR809 is THX Select2 Plus-certified and comes packed with several new features including the Mavell Qdeo and IDT’s HQV Vida video upscaling and processing circuits. It also includes Imaging Science Foundation’s ISF Video Calibration technology. Onkyo has rolled out the X-U1 Micro Hi-Fi system in Japan. Priced at 35,000 Yen, the music player features a CD player, an FM tuner, a couple of speakers (15W x 2ch output) and a USB port. There is also an iPod/iPhone/iPad cradle and a remote controller, allowing you to control the Onkyo X-U1 from the comfort of your sofa. Additionally, the X-U1 is also compatible with MP3 files. Onkyo today announced that they will launch a couple of Windows 7 tablets in Japan next month. The 11.6-inch 1366 x 728 TW317A7PH and the 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 TW117A7PH come equipped with a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 CPU, a 2GB of RAM, WI-Fi, Bluetooth and the Microsoft Windows 7 Business OS. Onkyo has announced the availability of a new premium home theater system namely the HT-S9400THX. The 7.1-channel HT-S9400THX is THX-certified and includes THX approved speakers. Onkyo has launched the new WAVIO audio card (SE-300PCIE) that adopts the Creative X-Fi technology. This high-end 7.1 PCI express sound card features the 20K2 X-Fi embedded technology with EAX Advanced HD 5.0 on Onkyo’s Original DIDRC circuitry (Dynamic Inter-modulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry). Onkyo has rolled out the C-7030 CD player and matching TX-8050 DLNA amplifier for the Japanese market. Available only in Silver, the Onkyo C-7030 CD player features the company’s unique VLSC technology for pulse noise reduction. The player also supports MP3 and WMA CDs. The Onkyo TX-8050 is a DLNA 1.5 compatible amplifier, which is able to stream internet radio and produces a 130W x 2ch maximum output at 6-Ohm. This new amplifier is also fully compatible with iPod and iPhone via Onkyo’s dedicated USB dock. Onkyo has decided to release two new home theater receivers to replace the HT-RC270 and HT-RC260. The new Onkyo HT-RC370 and HT-RC360 home theater receivers come equipped with the new Marvell Qdeo 4K video upscaling processor, allowing users to upscale video to 1080p and beyond to as much as 4k of horizontal resolution, regardless of the source resolution. There is a USB port in the front-panel that reads audio files from USB Flash drive, iPods or iPhones. What’s more, the Onkyo HT-RC370 and HT-RC360 also support PC audio and Internet radio from services like Pandora, Napster and SiriusXM Internet Radio. Onkyo Japan has rolled out the Onkyo DP315 nettop. Powered by the Intel Atom N455 processor, this mini computer is currently available in Build To Order (BTO) via Onkyo’s online store. The basic configuration features a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 processor, a 1GB of RAM, a 160GB of hard disk drive and the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 operating system.
