
Onkyo is back with a new home-theater-in-a-box (HTiB) in the form of the Onkyo HT-S5400. The home theater receiver at the heart of the system features the latest implementation of the HDMI connectivity standard with support for 3D video, lossless audio from Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, and an Audio Return Channel. The amplifier sections of the receiver uses a massive transformer, optimum gain volume circuitry and PLL jitter-cleaning circuitry to preserve signal accuracy. Additional features include high-quality TI Burr-Brown audio DACs, a new Advanced Music Optimizer to enhance the fidelity of compressed audio files, and an on-screen display for adjusting the settings. What’s more, the Onkyo 7.1-channel HT-S5400 also supports Audyssey Dynamic EQ and Audyssey Dynamic Volume, two volume and equalization technologies that enable users to enjoy audio content in greater comfort. Onkyo has introduced another one of its upcoming Windows-based tablet namely the TW317A7. Powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, the device packs an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 touchscreen display, a 2GB RAM, a 32GB SSD, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a card reader, WiFi, Bluetooth, two USB 2.0 ports, built-in stereo speakers and runs on Windows 7 Home Premium OS. Onkyo has dropped another all-in-one desktop PC for the Japanese market that comes with a built-in slide-out iPod/iPhone dock. Known as the DE715, this space saving machine boasts a 23-inch 1920 x 1080 display, a 3.06GHz Intel Core i3-540 processor, a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M graphics card, a 4GB RAM, a 320GB hard drive, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a Blu-ray drive, a multi-format card reader, a TV tuner, WiFi, an HDMI port and runs on Windows 7 Home Premium OS. Onkyo today launched the DT615-FF Final Fantasy-ready desktop PC in Japan. This computer meets the hardware requirement to provides the best user experience possible when playing to Final Fantasy Online (XIV). The Onkyo DT615-FF features an Intel Core i7-870 processor, a 4GB of RAM (up to 16GB), a 5400rpm 1TB HDD, a Blu-ray disc burner, an nVidia GeForce GTX460 with a 768GB of VRAM and a 500W Power Supply Unit. Here are three of Onkyo’s brand new Windows-powered tablets, the TW117A4, TW217A5 and TW317A5. Let’s start with the first one, the TW117A4 features a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, an Intel GMA 3150 graphics and a 160GB hard drive. Followed by the TW217A5 that offers a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 processor, an Intel GMA 500 graphics and a 32GB SSD. Finally, the TW317A5 that sports an 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 touchscreen display, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, an Intel GMA 3150 graphics and a 32GB SSD. Blockbuster Inc. today announced that the new Onkyo BD-SP808 Blu-ray player supports BLOCKBUSTER On Demand service, allowing users to browse and select certain movies as soon as the titles are available on DVD and Blu-ray without having to pay a monthly subscription fee. Using the system’s search tool, users can also view ratings, trailers and other information about each movie for a more personalized and simplified viewing experience. Onkyo today introduced their latest 3D-ready and THX-certified HT-S9300 home theater in a box (HTiB) in the US market. The system consists of seven theater loudspeakers, a subwoofer for deep-bass sound effects, and an audio-video receiver that is fully compatible with state-of-the-art HD video players and video displays, including all the latest 3D technologies. The Onkyo HT-S9300 receiver provides four 3D-Ready HDMI 1.4a inputs for connection to modern audio/video source components. The Onkyo LPF10M01 digital picture frame boasts a 10.1-inch WSVGA display and an HDMI input port, allowing you to connect your camcorder, DSLR camera, Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft XBOX 360, Blu-ray player into this digital picture frame. Weighing at just 950 grams, the Onkyo LPF10M01 also has a 512MB of internal memory, a memory card slot, a remote controller and a USB port. There is no info on pricing or availability so far. Onkyo has launched a couple of new 3D-ready Home Theater in a Box (HTiB) setups namely the Onkyo HT-6300 and HT-7300. Both of these home theater systems come with four 3D-ready HDMI 1.4a inputs and handle upscaling to 1080p via the Faroudja DCDi Cinema processor. Onkyo today introduced its latest Mini Hi-Fi FR series in order to celebrate the 12th anniversary of the series since its first introduction in the Japanese market. The X-N7EX and X-N9EX comes equipped with the ND-S1 dock, which allows full control of the iPod/iPhone. Onkyo also uses high qulity components to increase the audio quality.
