
Onkyo’s Sotec has introduced their latest 15.4 inch notebook that offers 1280 x 800 resolution. The Sotec DR 701 is a high-end laptop with a Core 2 Duo P9500 CPU running at 1.53GHz, 2GB of RAM, 250GB of HDD (SATA at 5400rpm), DVD Super Multi and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 with 256MB of VRAM. Onyko today released its HDC-1L nettop audio PC that is perfect for use in a small office or room. This computer was specially made to handle digital audio playback. The HDC-1L features Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor with Intel 945GC Express chipset, Windows XP Home Edition, 1GB RAM, 160GB SATA hard drive, DVD SuperMulti drive, Six USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet connectivity and SN ratio of 120dB. The basic HDC-1L is priced at around $640. The computer with the optional 15-watt stereo speakers are priced at $800, meanwhile the nettop with a 19 inch LCD monitor will retail for $1,070. You can now enjoy music from your iPod using a wireless headphones from Onkyo. The good news is that the headphones are cheap. Priced at around $200, the Onkyo MHP-UW2 uses the 2.4Ghz digital connection and comes equipped with a emitter that attaches to the iPod to broadcast music for up to 8 hours. Onkyo will release its new small audio system, the CR-D2, on September 11th, 2008. The audio system provides a built-in CD player and FM tuner and boasts a maximum output power of 60Watts x2, a signal / Noise ratio of 100dB, and a frequency response of 10Hz-60kHz. Onkyo Japan today released the Integra DHC-9.9 high-end Amplifier. The device offers HDMI 1.3 ports, support for THX Ultra 2 Plus, Dolby True HD, DTS-HD encoding and 1080/24p image input. It is also compatible with HDMI CEC function of Viera, Sharp Aquous, Toshiba Regza and other popular brands allowing the amplifier to be controlled from the TV’s remote itself. Other features include HQV video processor, VLSC circuit technology for increased sound quality and the newly developed WRAT technology which removes pulse characteristic noise. Measuring 435mm × 444mm × 194mm and weighing 13.1Kg, the Onkyo Integra DHC-9.9 will be released in September for $ 2300. [Newlaunches]

Onkyo today released a new 7.1 AV amplifier that comes with an HDMI 1.3 port. Known as the TX-SA706X, this new amplifier offers five HDMI inputs and one HDMI output supporting 1080p video signals. The device also sports Dolby True HD, DTS-HD Master Audio and provides a maximum output of 200Watts x 7, a frequency response of 5Hz-100,000Hz and includes Audyssey Dynamic EQ Processing. Here is a new home audio system from Onkyo that comes equipped with an integrated hard drive. The Onkyo X-NX10A features a 80GB hard drive, LCD display, USB connectivity and sports for MP3/PCM/ATRAC audio formats. Onkyo today introduced a new wireless keyboard and mouse system, the KM-2W. These input devices feature 106 Japanese keys, while the mouse is equipped with a 800dpi sensor. Onkyo will be launching their new BASE-V20HD 2.1 theater system in Japan in 2 weeks. The BASE-V20HD has support for HDMI 1.3a and is compatible with TrueHD, DTS-HD, Dolby NR. No word on a price yet, but it shouldn’t be all that bad. [Akihabara]
