Option has introduced the VIU2 mobile 3G camera that allows anyone to set up and manage their own video security camera. The camera detects the presence of a possible intruder through the use of motion and sound detectors. When motion or sound is detected, the camera will automatically record the event and send out an SMS alert or email to the user. Option also provides a cloud storage service of the most important motion detections clips or recordings for increased reliability. The VIU2 is currently sampling to mobile operators with volume shipments scheduled for the second half of 2011. [Ubergizmo]
