First introduced back in January, the PK-201 (pictured above) and PK-301 pico projectors from Optoma are finally available for pre-order via Amazon for $299.99 and $399.99, respectively. To refresh your memory, these projectors provide 854 x 480 native resolution, 20 ANSI lumens brightness (PK-201), 50 ANSI lumens brightness (PK-301) and 2000:1 contrast ratio. Korean projector Optoma today released its first 3D projector, the Optoma EX762, that adopts a Texas Instruments DDP2431 10bit Video processing chip and a DC3 DMD chip. This 3D projector provides a 1024 x 768 resolution, a 3D video playback, a 4000 ANSI brightness and a 3000:1 contrast ratio. The Optoma EX762 is now available in South Korea for around $1700. Optoma has showcased their latest home theater projector ‘HD20′ during this year’s CES. Powered by Texas Instruments’ DLP chipset, the HD20 provides 1920 x 1080p Full HD resolution, 1700 ANSI lumens and 4000:1 contrast ratio. The HD66 is the first 3D ready home theater projector from Optoma that is targeted towards gamers and movie enthusiasts. Powered by Texas Instruments’ 0.65 DMD DLP chipset with BrilliantColor technology, the HD66 can project 3D content in three different resolutions: 720p HD (1280 x 720), XGA (1024 x 768) or SVGA (800 x 600), and provides 2500 ANSI lumens brightness and 4,000:1 contrast ratio. The unit also comes with a built-in 2-watt speaker and several input and output connections including HDMI, VGA-in, S-video, composite video, stereo audio-in and RS-232. The first generation of pico projectors come with poor performance and battery life. The new PK102 from Optoma provides higher contrast ratio with a lower price tag. The new projector boasts a 2000:1 contrast ratio, a 4GB of on-board memory and a on-screen menu. That’s certainly big enough for a couple episodes of this or that, or a few home movies. Optoma today launched two new DLP projectors which are known as the Pro250X and Pro150S. Both projectors provide a brightness level of 2,800 ANSI lumens and a 3,000:1 contrast ratio. The Pro250X comes with XGA (1,024 x 768) resolution, meanwhile the Pro150S provides only SVGA (800 x 600) resolution. Other features include Composite, S-video, and VGA ports. Optoma comes back with its home theater projectors in the form of the HD8200. The projector will be powered by Texas Instruments’ DLP DarkChip3 DMD Technology and adopts Optoma’s PureShift and PureMotion technologies. Optoma today released the EP1080 premium full HD projector in Korea. The projector is equipped with TI’s 0.95-inch 1080p DMD chipset and supports 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, 3,600 ANSI Lumen of brightness and 2,200:1 contrast ratio. The Optoma EP1080 also adopts Philips’ VIDI technology and comes equipped with HDMI port, DVI-D, S-Video, and IR receiver. You can purchase the EP1080 in January 2009 for 9,900,000 Korean Won. Check out Optoma’s new Pico projector that is powered by the DLP Pico chipset.
