Panasonic Introduces Android-based e-book Tablet For The Japanese Market

Panasonic has exhibited a new e-book tablet at e-Book Expo Tokyo. This Android e-book tablet will support Rakuten’s e-book store, which will open in early August 2011. Weighing at 400 grams, the gadget has a 7-inch display screen with a resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels, a dual-core CPU, a built-in camera, and a microSDHC card slot. Panasonic will launch the SV-ME970 portable 1Seg TV at the end of July 2011. What makes this gadget special is that it comes equipped with an IPX6/IPX7 (Waterproof) body. The SV-ME970 also features a 7-inch (800 x 480) touchscreen display, a web browser, Wi-Fi, a 4GB of internal memory and an SDXC slot. Additionally, this portable 1Seg TV can also access YouTube and online radio services. Available in black or white, the Panasonic SV-ME970 will be available in Japan for around 45,000 Yen ($555). Panasonic BG-BL01 Portable Solar Battery Charger

Panasonic today announced the availability of the BG-BL01 portable solar battery charger. Measuring 152mm x 104mm x 24mm and weighing 150grams, the device comes with a HIT Solar panel, two AA battery charger slots, three LED lights and a USB port. The company claims that it will take up to 15-hour in perfect condition to fully charge two AA batteries. The BG-BL01 also provides up to 10-hour of light at a maximum brightness or up to 60-hour of light at its lowest brightness. Panasonic JT-H320HT Handheld Terminal

Panasonic Japan today introduced the JT-H320HT handheld terminal that allows you to keep track of goods and check stocks. Measuring 50mm x 160mm x 30mm and weighing 155 grams, the gadget features a 2.4-inch QVGA display, the Microsoft Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Professional OS, a 64MB of RAM and a 123MB of ROM. Additionally, the Panasonic JT-H320HT also has a barcode reader, a CMOS camera for QR codes, Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi and a USB 2.0 port. [Panasonic]

Panasonic Strada CN-H500WD And CN-H500D In-dash Car Navigation Systems

Panasonic will launch two new GPS systems in the form of the Strada CN-H500WD and CN-H500D. These in-dash car navigation systems feature “Motion Control” user interface, allowing you to manipulate the map with hand gestures. Both navigation gadgets also provide an integrated DVD/CD player, a 7-inch (800 x 480) LED-backlit touchscreen display, a 1Seg TV tuner, SRS WOW HD, a 60GB of internal HDD and the Panasonic PEAKS image processor. Panasonic Toughbook Rugged Android Tablet

Panasonic has officially unveiled the Toughbook tablet, which is claimed to be the world’s first rugged Android tablet, Designed with security, functionality and real-world reliability in mind, the gadget features a 10.1-inch XGA (1024 x 768) “daylight viewable” multitouch display, an active stylus, GPS, and optional 3G/ 4G connectivity. Panasonic PT-LB3U Ultra Portable Projector

Panasonic has introduced a new ultra-portable projector for business and education purposes. Dubbed as the PT-LB3U, the projector features a resolution of 1024 x 768, a 3,200 Lumens of brightness and a 600:1 of contrast ratio. Measuring 307mm x 69mm x 210mm and weighing 2.3 Kg, the Panasonic PT-LB3U also uses a new lamp drive system, allowing the lamp to last up to 5,000-hour. The projector can also be mounted on the ceiling or placed on a desktop. Connectivity options include dual VGA inputs, LAN port, S-video, a serial input, and a single composite connection. Panasonic Chargepad Wirelessly Juices Up Portable Chargers

Panasonic will launch the Chargepad wireless charging solution in Japan. This gadget employs the inductive power technology to charge mobile chargers wirelessly. It is easy to use. You just need to place the mobile charger on the top of the Chargepad. Along with the Qi-certified Chargepad itself, the company also unveiled a couple of compatible mobile chargers such as the 5,400mAh QE-PL201-W and 2,700mAh QE-PL101-W.
