
This standard looking business briefcase is actually a powerful portable solar charger that can easily juice up your laptop, cellphone and other portables. This metal briefcase consist of two main parts: The top cover integrates solar panel, while the base includes Li-ion batteries and chargers. Japanese firm Sumitomo Chemical has announced that it will be producing 40-inch OLED panels for HDTVs in 2009 which means that Sumitomo-based TVs could hit the market in 2009 or 2010. Pictured above is Samsung’s old-skool 40-inch OLED HDTV prototype. [OLED-Info]

Samsung will be dropping a High Bright DID panel later this month. It features 1,500 nits of brightness, a contrast ratio of 3,000:1, 16.7 million colors, 178-degree viewing angles and a screen resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels. No word on pricing as of right now. [Slash Gear]

These unique-looking speakers don’t even look like speakers but more like a room divider or mirror.
