Hellgate: London Release Date

Hellgate: London will be hitting the U.S. stores on October 31(Halloween) and on November 2 in Europe and the rest of the world. It is a PC game under development by Flagship Studios. This role-playing game set in a post-apocalyptic London, and made by the people who created the Diablo and Diablo II.

New EA Sports

EA Sports shows us some new screenshots of NHL 08, which showcases some of the game’s new features. Some of the new features include “On the Fly AI” and “Create a Play.” NHL 08 is currently available for pre-order on EA’s website, and will be released in September 11th. The game will be available for Xbox 360, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, and PC. View more screenshots after the jump.

World Of Warcraft Hits 9 Million Users Worldwide

Blizzard announced today that World of Warcraft, its subscription-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), is now being played by more than 9 million gamers around the world. World of Warcraft made its debut in North America on November 23rd, 2004. The game was the best selling PC game of 2005 and 2006. World of Warcraft is available in seven different languages. It’s played in North America, Europe, China, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. In related news, celibacy levels worldwide have also been reported at an all time high… :)

Electronic Arts Brings Games To Mac

At yesterday’s WWDC07 conference, Steve Jobs and Electronic Arts have revealed new games coming to the Mac. EA will release several key titles for the Mac this summer including Command & Conquer 3, Battlefield 2142, Need for Speed Carbon, and Harry Potter. Id Software also revealed their next gen game engine at WWDC, showcasing some pretty interesting new technology.

Assassin

Assassin’s Creed from Ubisoft will be launched worldwide on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC this November. There will be two versions of the game: a regular edition for $59.99 and a special edition for $69.99.

Set in 1191 AD at the height of the Third Crusade for the Holy Land, Assassin’s Creed puts players in the silent shoes of Altair and gives them the opportunity “to shape events during this pivotal moment in history.” Altair is tied to a group of ruthless assassins whose plan is to bring an end to the bitter struggle by striking out at both warring parties.

NCSoft and Cryptic Studios have already announced a City of Heroes and City of Villains content called Issue 9: Breakthrough. This new issue adds a new feature called “Invention System” which makes it possible to take receipts and ingredients from dead players, so you can create new items for yourself, among other things.
