
RoverPC has recently launched its P7 PDA smartphone which is actually an upgrade version of its predecessor, the P6. The gadget comes equipped with Marvell PXA270 416MHz processor, 2.8 inch touch screen display, GPRS/EDGE connectivity and Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional Operating System. Other features include Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, microSD memory card slot, mini USB, Wi-Fi connectivity and a 2MP shooter. Unfortunately, there is now info on pricing so far. Here’s another PDA phone by Asus called the P560 coming out next month. It features HSDPA, wifi, 3.2 megapixel autofocus cam, bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, GPS, microSDHC slot, 256MB of ROM, 128MB of RAM, and Microsoft’s Windows Mobile Professional 6.1. Datalogic has a new rugged PDA called the Pegaso. What makes this PDA cool is that it features a built-in barcode scanner. Measuring 6.9 inch x 3.2 inch x 1.9 inch and weighing 16.9 ounces, the gadget features Marvell PXA270 520MHz processor, 64MB/128MB of RAM, 128MB of flash memory, 3.6 inch screen display in VGA/QVGA resolutions, GSM/GRPS/EDGE support, 802.11b/g connectivity, Bluetooth 1.2 connectivity with CCX v. 4 extensions and an SD memory card slot. Getac will be releasing a new GPS-enabled PDA. It features Windows Mobile 5.0, bluetooth and wifi connectivity, SD memory card slot, 2GB of internal memory, is resistant to -20C to +70C (158 F) temperature ranges, and is shockproof. The next best thing to a sidekick has just arrived by Sharp. The PV250 PDA features a swiveling LCD, a QWERTY keyboard, a slot for microSD cards and a 1.3-megapixel camera. Price and release date remain unknown.

China should be expecting to see the Blackberry 8800 in stores near them fairly soon. So now they can reap all the benefits that us westerners take forgranted. They should consider themselves lucky however, they do have a similar phone marketed there called the Redberry, go figure.
