Pentax Releases Two New Binoculars

Pentax Japan has released two new binoculars, the Pentax 8×21 UCF R and the Pentax 10×21 UCF R. The Pentax 8×21 UCF R features a field of view of 1000 yards(324 ft), an Objective Lens Diameter of 21mm, and a magnification of 8x, while the Pentax 10×21 UCF R offers a magnification of 10X and an aperture of 21mm. Pricing info is still in a mystery.

The Optio T30 with a 3 Inch Touchscreen

Pentax has launched the Optio T30 that provides a 7.1MP sensor, noise and shake reduction, a 3 inch touchscreen with the on screen menu, a face recognition system, and support for SDHC cards. The camera measures 19mm x93mm x57mm and weights 120g. No word on pricing and availability yet.

The new Pentax DSmobile 600 scanner is a portable USB scanner that offers 600dpi color scanning. It measures just 11 inches long and 1.5 inches high and weighs only 12 ounces. The scanner comes bundled with the DSmobileSCAN software which helps in saving documents as PDF files, and PageManager 7 that allows you to edit, view, send, and save scanned documents in various formats. Too bad, there is no word on pricing and availability yet.

Pentax DCF ED Binoculars

Pentax has launched the Pentax DCF ED line of premium binoculars. So what makes these binoculars special? Well, they are equipped with an extra-low dispersion (ED) glass, includes super reflective, phase-coated prisms, impact resistance, plus water-proof. The Pentax DCF HRc models will be available under $300 in 8×42 and 10×42 sizes, while the Pentax DCF ED series will be available under $900 in 8×32, 8×43, 10×43 and 10×50 sizes.
