Philips has finally launched its Wireless HDTV Link in the US market. It is basically a wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver kit that comes with two HDMI and two component video inputs. The device allows you to replace all of your HD cables for set-top boxes, HD satellite receiver, Blu-ray player and gaming console with a single box that controls all of them through a wireless connection. Philips has introduced the latest addition to its LCD monitor range by releasing the Brilliance 225P1ES. This new 22-inch widescreen monitor offers a native resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels, 5ms response time, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, built-in two 1.5W speakers, plus D-Sub, DVI and USB connectors. Philips’s new Bluetooth Notebook Mouse is designed to be used as either a wired or a wireless mouse. The mouse connects to the computer using Bluetooth or USB port. What makes this mouse more interesting is that it adopts the company’s 360 TouchControl technology that allows you to scroll through lengthy documents without installing extra software. Philips has finally released two official photos including official specs of their upcoming candybar phone namely the Philips Xenium X830 that was first unveiled back in June. Like most of Philips’ handsets, the X830 also sports an impressive battery lifetime that lasts up to 10 hours in talk-time, or up to 1.5 months in stand-by-time. As for the rest of the specs, you’ll find a 3-inch TFT touchscreen display with 320 x 240 pixels and 262k colors, a 5MP camera with autofocus, a music and video players, an FM-radio with RDS, a 47MB of internal memory, a microSDHC card slot (up to 8GB), a mini USB port, Stereo Bluetooth and supports quad-band GSM connectivity with GPRS and EDGE. Philips has rolled out its new LCD display with a built-in infrared presence sensor. Known as the Philips Brilliance, the LCD monitor adopts “PowerSensor” technology, which can detect whether you’re sat in front of it or not and adjust brightness accordingly. If you get up from your chair and move away from the monitor, the brightness will immediately dim to reduce power consumption by 50%. The Philips HTS8160B Bluray Soundbar is now available in Singapore. This home theater system consists of a Blu-ray disc player, a separate subwoofer, and the Ambisound HD speakers system that boasts Dolby True HD audio format and 7.1-channel surround sound.
