Philips has finally launched its Wireless HDTV Link in the US market. It is basically a wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver kit that comes with two HDMI and two component video inputs. The device allows you to replace all of your HD cables for set-top boxes, HD satellite receiver, Blu-ray player and gaming console with a single box that controls all of them through a wireless connection. Philips has introduced the latest addition to its LCD monitor range by releasing the Brilliance 225P1ES. This new 22-inch widescreen monitor offers a native resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels, 5ms response time, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, built-in two 1.5W speakers, plus D-Sub, DVI and USB connectors. Philips has recently showed off its Wireless HDTV Link at IFA Berlin 2009. This HDMI transmitter and receiver pair allows you to place your actual A/V components up to 20 yards away from the set. The base station comes with two HDMI connectors and two component connectors, allowing you the freedom to switch between TV, DVD and games consoles simply and quickly, without having to change cables and plugs in between uses. Philips has finally released two official photos including official specs of their upcoming candybar phone namely the Philips Xenium X830 that was first unveiled back in June. Like most of Philips’ handsets, the X830 also sports an impressive battery lifetime that lasts up to 10 hours in talk-time, or up to 1.5 months in stand-by-time. Philips has rolled out its new LCD display with a built-in infrared presence sensor. Known as the Philips Brilliance, the LCD monitor adopts “PowerSensor” technology, which can detect whether you’re sat in front of it or not and adjust brightness accordingly. If you get up from your chair and move away from the monitor, the brightness will immediately dim to reduce power consumption by 50%. The Philips HTS8160B Bluray Soundbar is now available in Singapore.
