The Pioneer F500 has finally received FCC’s approval to ship this GPS system to the States. The F500 features bluetooth for hands-free calling, an optional traffic antenna, and a ND-BC2 add-on to hook the unit on a rear view camera, and an SD card slot. No word on price or availability for this GPS system but it’s now available in Europe as the NavGate 500 for 699 Euros or $1100 which is on the pricey side. [Navigadget]

The AS-PS66 is a waterproof speaker that can fit any iPod-sized MP3 player that can hook up to the onboard speaker with stereo mini. Pioneer will release a navigation system in Europe branded as the NavGate 500 aka the AVIC-F500BT. The NavGate 500 features a 5.8″ WVGA 800 x 480 resolution display, Hands-free Bluetooth kit from Parrot, RDS/TMC module for traffic information, Voice commands, a 600MHz processor, and a SiRF Star III GPS chip. The NavGate 500 will ship with maps form TeleAtlas in 30 European countries in May and will retail for €699.

It’s an all in one semi-portable unit that will do everything for you while driving except pleasure your nether regions. It features a 5.8 inch touchscreen and has voice controls so you can keep your hands on the wheel. Get out of my dreams, get into my car.
Pioneer’s BDP-95FD Blu-ray player has just unveiled hours ago. This new high-end Blu-ray player is apparently the first player to offer bitstream output of “all advanced audio formats” including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital+, DTS-HD High Resolution, and DTS-HD Master Audio. The player also offers full 1080p24 video, along with HDMI 1.3 connectivity (including HDMI-CEC technology), and Pioneer’s Home Media Gallery, which will let you network the player with your computer or other DLNA-compliant gear. Pioneer BDP-95FD Blu-ray player retails for a $1,000 when it’s released in October.
Pioneer comes back with a new plasma TV called the KURO. The displays are divided into two version; the Pioneer Kuro and the Elite Kuro. The 42-inch Pioneer Kuro sports a 1,024 x 768 resolution panel, four independent HDMI 1.3 inputs, a built-in CableCARD slot, advanced PureCinema with 3:3 pulldown, and tweakable settings, while the 50-inch Pioneer Kuro comes with a 1,365 x 768 resolution. The Elite Kuro versions add the Home Media Gallery, and provide ISFccc calibration. Pricing and availability info are currently unavailable.
