Pioneer has announced the availability of its latest DJ mixer and turntable, the CDJ-350 and DJM-350. Designed for beginner and pro DJs, both gadgets come in a pearl white color. The Pioneer CDJ-350-W turntable has a BEAT display that helps the DJ to see where the beat position of a song is. This turntable also has a beat loop, loop divide and hot loop function. The Pioneer DJM-350-W is a DJ mixer that converts analog signals to digital. The mixer offers four effects including noise, short echo, filter and jet. The packaged DJ system with two CDJ-350W and one DJM-350-W retails for $2445 and will be launched in January 2011. [Akihabara]

Pioneer has finally released three new 3D Blu-ray players, the Pioneer BDP-430, Elite BDP-41FD and BDP-43FD. These Blu-ray players come equipped with the iControlAV iOS app that allows you to remote control your Pioneer Blu-Ray player with an iPhone or iPod touch. The Pioneer BDP-430 and the Elite BDP-41FD and BDP-43FD also feature an HDMI 1.4a port and an Ethernet port, allowing users to access to Internet streaming services such as Neflix or Pandora. What’s more, these 3D Blu-ray players also support DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD surround sound decoding, as well as 1080p upscaling for your DVD collection. The Pioneer Elite BDP-41FD and BDP-43FD come equipped with an RS-232 serial port to facilitate home automation, while the BDP-43FD has higher quality internal components and chassis. Pioneer USA has decided to launch its first BDXL Blu-ray burner, the BDR-206MBK. This product can write up to 128GB on a single BDXL Quad Layer disc, which is equal to 27 single layer DVD discs. This computer drive allows users to author high-definition Blu-ray disc content, while also delivering the ability for high-capacity data storage. The 5.25-inch drive can read BD-ROM discs, read/write triple/dual/single layer BD-R and BD-RE discs, read DVD-ROM, and read/write most DVD and CD recordable media formats. Pioneer Japan today announced the BDR-206MBK, which is known as the world’s first BDXL Blu-ray burner for PC. The device is compatible to BD-R XL discs with three (100GB) or four layers (128GB) and BD-RE XL discs with 3 layers (100GB). What’s more, the Blu-day burner also supports 3D Blu-ray discs. The Pioneer BDR-206MBK will hit Japanese stores next month for $372 each.

Buffalo has also announced the BRXL-6FBS-BK BDXL Blu-ray burner that supports exactly the same BDXL discs as the Pioneer burner and also plays 3D Blu-rays. The Buffalo BRXL-6FBS-BK will be available in both an external (USB 2.0) BRXL-6U2 and an internal (SATA) BRXL-6FBS-BK. Pioneer Limited Edition HDJ-1000 Headphones

Pioneer Electronics USA today introduced its limited edition HDJ-1000 professional DJ headphones that will be offered in two fashionable colors. These new headphones provide a more comfortable fit and produce better low frequency reproduction for more effective mixing. The drivers in the HDJ-1000 headphones were tuned to deliver more impact in the lower bass frequencies of music. Its thick 38 micrometers diaphragm and 1.5 mm voice coil are more efficient in generating the critical midrange and mid-bass frequencies in music and produce a more linear response even at high volume levels. What’s more, the headphones also use low rebound urethane for the ear pads providing a better fit and increased comfort when used for long DJ sessions. Other features include an easy fold-away structure design, a convenient carrying pouch, a swivel mechanism with 90-degree housing rotation to support a wide range of monitoring styles, and a convenient mono/stereo switch for single-ear use. Pioneer HVT Audio System Concept

Pioneer has recently unveiled its HVT audio system concept at CEATEC 2010 in Japan. HVT stands for “Horizontal-Vertical Transforming” where Pioneer is working on offering the flattest possible set of speakers in order to build-up ultra-slim products like wall-mounted all in one Home Entertainment that will for example (see photo) offer a Flat TV, with Flat 5.1 Virtual Surround speakers and iPod Dock (behind the mirror on the left side of the TV in the picture), or ultra Flat powerful Audio speakers and finally High-end high-quality ultra slim PC speakers. Pioneer BDR-S06J 12x BD Recorder

Pioneer will release the BDR-S06J BD recorder in November 2010. Priced at 30,000 Yen ($360), the device supports a 12x recording speed for BD-R and BD-R DL, a 6x for its LTH equivalent and only 2x for BD-RE. This Bluray recorder comes bundled with the PowerDVD 9, which supports 3D movies and AVCREC DRM content (2D or 3D). [Pioneer]

Pioneer HDJ-500 DJ Headphones

Pioneer will release a new entry-level DJ headphones in Japan very soon. Designed with maximum comfort and reliability in mind, the new Pioneer HDJ-500 DJ headphones feature leather-wrapped urethane pads to provide a more comfortable user experience that is also hard-wearing. The main structure of the headphones is also made of strong and lightweight magnesium alloy. What’s more, these headphones also support a rotating arm structure, allowing the user to twist the right earpiece forwards or backwards by as much as 60 degrees to keep one ear open for a crowd. Sound is delivered by 40mm diameter drivers, a thick 19 ?m (micrometers) diaphragm and a copper-clad aluminum wire voice coil. The frequency range is 5Hz-28KHz with a maximum output sound level of 105dB. Available in red, black or white, the Pioneer HDJ-500 DJ headphones will be available in November 2010 for $125. Pioneer is ready to launch a couple of new Blu-ray players in the form of the BDP-330 and BDP-LX53. These players are capable of playing YouTube videos and also RSS feeds, thanks to Internet connectivity provided via its onboard Ethernet port, or optional Wi-Fi USB dongle. Both Blu-ray players can also internally decode high-resolution Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio surround sound and are BD-Live-ready. There is also the iControlAV app for iPhone and iPod touch, which enables you to operate these Blu-ray players wirelessly via Wi-Fi. Pioneer has proudly introduced the CDJ-850 digital media player, which is designed for DJs. Measuring 305mm x 364.4mm x 105.5mm and weighing 3.3 kg, the gadget features a 206mm jog dial with rotary selector and browse buttons and a 4Hz – 20kHz frequency response. The new Pioneer CDJ-850 is compatible with MP3, AAC, WAV and AIFF digital audio formats recorded on USB storage devices or CD-R/RW discs. Each purchase comes equipped with the “Rekordbox” software, allowing you to analyze data such as the Wave, Beat Grid, BPM, and ID3 Tag of music files, create cues and loops settings as well as create and edit playlists.
