
Pioneer has just announced their new line of affordable A/V receivers that should be appealing to audiophiles out there that don’t have extra large pockets. Prices for these systems will start at $550 and go up to $650 which is very reasonable for set ups like these ones. Features will include s upport for latest HDMI 1.4a with 3D support, HDMI ports, iPhone and iPod Touch control via Pioneer’s iControl AV app that is available for free in the App Store, Ethernet Input for Access to Internet Radio Stations, THX Select2 Plus audio, A/V Composite (5 Inputs / 1 Output), supports 2-Zone Multi-Zone and Source (Audio). Pioneer has just announced their new AV AMP VSA-LX53 that will come with 3D support and iControlAV. It will start to become available at the end of July in Japan. It comes with many nice features like HDMI support with 3D ARC, Pioneer control of Virtual Surround, and the ability to control it all from your iPhone or iPod Touch through the use of a dedicated app. No word yet on when this one will release in the states. Pioneer today launched their latest in-dash GPS navigation system called Pioneer AVIC Z120BT. The gadget features a 7-inch motorized widescreen TFT LCD touchscreen with a 3D interface and a customizable home menu, an AM/FM radio and a voice-activated navigation. The Pioneer AVIC Z120BT also adopts the MusicSphere technology that creates unique mood-based playlists via iTunes for your iPod, iPod Touch, or iPhone. Pioneer Japan is back with their latest in-ear headphones that come in the form of “Cherry” (SE-CL23) and “Mini-leather Belt” (SE-CL23). Both earphones provide a frequency response of 20Hz – 20,000Hz, an output sound pressure level of 100dB, an impedance of 16 Ohms, and a 9 mm driver. The “Cherry” is available in Peach Pink, Cherry Red, Berry Red, Pear White. Meanwhile, the “Mini-leather Belt” comes in Brown, Black, Camel (Yellow) and Navy (Blue). The Pioneer EPD-C50EC3 and EPD-C50E3 are the company’s latest education-oriented PDP (Plasma) TVs that are specially designed for use in schools. Pioneer will launch their latest in-house audio system in Japan during Christmas 2009. Known as the ACCO A-IW001, the gadget comes equipped with a set of speakers (S-ICH125) that should be mounted on the ceiling. The A-IW001 features an internet radio and an iPod cradle allowing you to enjoy music all over the house and being control your tunes on the fly. Pioneer has just unveiled the world’s first 12x Blu-ray writer for desktop computers called the BDR-205. The drive features a 4MB cache memory, a SATA connection interface and provides 12x write speeds for Blu-ray Disc media, 16x for DVD and 40x for CD media. Pioneer has proudly introduced this morning the BDR-S05J-BK, which is the first BD burner that supports the 12x recording with selected BD-R SL and DL media (6x- certified). The SATA drive also supports 6x recording with BD-R LTH discs, 2x with BD-RE/RE DL, 16x with DVD±R, 8x with DVD±R DL and DVD±RW discs, 40x with CD-R 40 X speed and finally 24x with CD-RW discs. Pioneer today rolled out their latest bookshelf speakers in the form of the XW-NAS3 and XW-NAS5. Both models are single-unit speakers that provides a 2.1-channel and a digital 60W output. These speakers also come with Bluetooth to connect with the iPhone or iPod Touch. The Pioneer XW-NAS5 is available in black and red, while the Pioneer XW-NAS3 is available only in white.
