Samsung has recently introduced its latest Full HD 850 PAVV, a 50-inch PDP (Plasma) “Finger Slim” with a thickness of only 29mm. The Plasma TV is 40% more power efficient and 20% lighter (26kg) than its predecessor. The new 850 PAVV 50-inch PDP TV features Samsung’s Full HD Crystal Engine, DLNA Support, “USB 2.0 Videos” giving you the possibility to watch DivX videos, photos, or play your MP3 directly from an external HDD or USB thumb key to your TV. Korean giant Samsung today introduced the latest 450 Series PAVV Fabrizio PDP Series of Plasma TV that is available in both 42 inch and 50 inch models. These PDP TVs feature 600Hz Technology and Samsung’s Crystal Engine. Stay tuned for more updates. [Samsung]
LG Korea today introduced the XCanvas Bobos PDP TV (Plasma) that is available in two version in the form of the 42 inch 42PQ60D and 50 inch 50PQ60D. These Plasma TVs feature LG’s XD picture engines which adjust the picture quality continuously for a better viewing experience, a 1,000,000,000 :1 contrast ratio, and the availability to play video files from a USB drive. The 42 inch 42PQ60D and 50 inch 50PQ60D are currently available in Korea for 1,400,000 ($ 1000) and 2,000,000 KRW ($ 1400). [LG Korea]
Panasonic offers a huge 103 inch PDP (Plasma) TV. Known as the TH-103PZ800, this plasma TV boasts an bright 10000:1 contrast ratio and supports Full HD resolution. It also has a total of four HDMI ports. However, I want to remind you that before you decide to buy this huge plasma TV, you will also need a huge TV cabinet. Measuring 214cm x 87cm x 174cm and weighing 343Kg, the Panasonic TH-103PZ800 103 Inch PDP TV retails in Japan for a hefty €35000. [Akihabara]
Pioneer KRP-600M Plasma TV is part of the high-end KURO PDP series. This plasma display is specially made for Audio-Visual fans, who demand the high quality pictures. Measuring a mere 41mm, the screen also boasts full HD resolution and a 100,000:1 contrast ratio. The Pioneer KRP-600M Plasma TV will be available in Japan later this month for around $7,921. [TechOn]
Panasonic will be releasing PZ850 series Plasma TVs this Summer. They come in 46-, 50- and 58-inch versions and will be available in mid-June along with a 65-incher in August. Although this isn’t at all that impressive, LG has announced their release of the 32-inch plasma (smallest TV for LG). It features 852×480 resolution, 550 lumen brightness, 1,800:1 contrast, and is relatively cheap going for $1,000-1,110. This is expected to hit stores next month if anyone cares.
