
Bang & Olufsen has introduced the BeoVision 4 103-inch plasma display, which is claimed to be the ultimate flat screen TV in the market today. The plasma screen comes equipped with its own stand that can lift the screen and turn and tilt it to the optimal viewing position at the touch of a button. Available in black, silver, red, blue, and dark grey, the BeoVision 4 can be custom ordered from any Bang & Olufsen showroom. A lead time of three to four months is expected as each product is custom built-to-order and requires a special “white-glove” delivery and installation process. The MSRP for the BeoVision 4 is $93,050 on wall mount or $111,805 on motorized floor stand. [Press Release]

Panasonic’s super slim 54Z1 plasma TV has been unveiled. What makes this thin plasma TV special is that its wireless HD receiver box that comes along with it. The plasma also comes with a remote which is an RF unit that is capable of non-line-of-sight channel changing. There is no further info about the pricing of this plasma TV. I am sure it will be expensive. [Engadget]

Samsung showcased its 63-inch Plasma Display at the ongoing FPD International show in Japan. The display offers a 4,096 x 2,160 pixels. I think this is the future of HDTV. because it offers four times the definition of a modern 1080p HDTV set. [Electronista]

Panasonic will be releasing PZ850 series Plasma TVs this Summer. They come in 46-, 50- and 58-inch versions and will be available in mid-June along with a 65-incher in August. If you’re tired of your dull OLED display on your Panasonic phone then there’s some hope out there. Panasonic has announced that they will be creating a new low-voltage (1.5v) plasma technology bringing more life to the OLED displays in brightness, thinness, and contrast and can be manufactured for less. The plasma technology will also be used with AT&T’s Mobile TV service, gas pumps, ATMs, and on HP printers with an exclusive 2-year contract. [Prnewswire via Upcoming Cell Phones]

Samsung will launch 2 new Plasma TVs in Korea and are available in 42″ and 50†models as well as 3D Ready. Samsung has gotten together with electronic arts to make sure these TVs will give the best gaming experience. Both TVs also got a DNIe+ (Digital Natural Image engine+). along with USB 2.0 Support, HDMI 1.3, and full HD with a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. Panasonic released a plasma TV at CES 07 aka the “10 Series” that comes with better wall mount configuration, improved video processing technology, anti-Reflective coating, enhanced wireless presentation capabilities, more versatile media card readability, and a dual HDMI board came as a standard feature. Hitachi will release the ultimate HDTV. It’s a 1.5 inches thick Plasma HDTV 1080p and supports stuff like Wireless HD and wireless content streaming. Expect this baby to be available in the next couple of months and supposedly has something that other HDTV’s don’t, we’ll just have to wait and see.

DIVX and LG have launched the DivX certified Time Machine TV Series both in Plasma and LCD versions, that includes three LCD models, the 47LB5RE, 42LB5RT, 37LB4RT and two plasma models, the 50PB4RT and 42PB4RT. These TVs deliver remarkable image and audio quality for digital content using much less bandwidth than regular analog devices. The series also features a built-in 80GB hard disk drive for Time Shift function and recording, USB 2.0 port for backing up recorded content and MP3, JPEG and DivX playback capability.
