Here is bad news for those who have pre-ordered the QUE proReader from Plastic Logic. The company has decided to delay the release date of this eReader once again. Plastic Logic has wizened up and not actually given a new estimated date this time. We hope that the delay will result in a better product performance with a lower price tag. Plastic Logic chief Richard Archuleta has recently announced that the highly anticipated QUE proReader has been delayed from mid-April 2010 to an unspecified point in the summer in order to “fine-tune features and enhance the overall product experience.” Plastic Logic will announce more details in the near future. There will be two version of the QUE proReader: a 4GB model that includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and an 8GB version that also has a AT&T 3G modem. The gadget uses a 10.7-inch shatterproof plastic display, which is larger than the Nook or the Kindle. The 4GB and 8GB models are priced at $649 and $799, respectively. [Engadget]
Plastic Logic has finally announced details of their upcoming e-book reader that will be released at CES 2010 in January. Measuring 8.5-inch x 11-inch, the gadget will feature a touchscreen plastic display, which is shatterproof. Sadly, there are no info about the battery life and internal storage capacity.
