Coming in a 5.25-inch form factor, the drive features an 8MB of cache memory, a SATA connection interface and provides write speeds of 12x for BD-R, 8x for BD-R DL, 2x for BD-RE (DL), 16x for DVD-R/+R, 6x for DVD+RW, 12x for DVD-RW and 48x for CD-R. Plextor has announced a new line of SSDs ‘M3 Pro’ at this year’s CES. Available in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB sizes, these thin 2.5-inch SSDs (7mm thick) are equipped with 24nm MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a server-grade Marvell 88SS9174 controller and promise to deliver read and write speeds of up to 540MB/s and 450MB/s, respectively. Plextor is ready to launch the M3S 2.5-inch SSD series. Plextor has just announced the availability of their new 12x external Blu-ray writer ‘PX-LB950UE‘ in the US. First introduced back in February, the PX-LB950UE is equipped with a USB 3.0 connection interface, an eSATA port, an 8MB of cache memory and capable of writing Blu-ray discs at 12x speeds. Not only that, the drive also supports for LightScribe (disc labeling) technology and comes bundled with the advanced Blu-ray and DVD playback software and recording applications. Coming in 500GB capacity, this 2.5-inch hard drive features an aircraft grade aluminum enclosure, a USB 3.0 connection interface and is bundled with the FNet PC Clone EX software for data backup and restore. Plextor has finally announced the pricing for their newest line of SSDs, the M2S.
