The MVP-808 is a slim mini PMP that offers 2.8-inch LTPS LCD is a clear 960 x 240 pixels. Measuring at just 80mm × 61mm × 17.5mm, this gadget is similar in size as the Cowon D2. The MVP-808 plays WMV, DIVX, MPEG4, MP3, WMA, OGG, AC3, VCD, DVD and JPG. It also has 2GB of internal storage with SD/MMC memory extension and a USB port for PC sync. No word on pricing so far.

The iRiver X20 portable media player is now available in The States. The player comes equipped with a bunch of features such as a 8GB flash memory, a microSD card, and a 2.2 inch 260k color LCD display which works great for displaying photos and videos (MPEG 4, AVI, and WMV). The gadget also has a 5-way control pad. Other features include an integrated FM tuner, a microphone, and support for MP3, WMA, and OGG audio files.

Two new versions of Toshiba’s Gigabeat V series were announced today. The V801 and V401 will contain 80GB and 40GB hard drives, respectively. They come in a new color, Bordeaux Brown and features a 4 inch QVGA TFT screen with the 480×272 pixel resolution. The devices will also come with new H2C technology, which claims to compensate for sound quality lost during audio compression by using its own algorithm to counter the audio compression algorithms of WMA and MP3 files. The portable media players will be available in Japan on June 1st. No word on pricing yet.

Meizu M6se measures a mere 0.5mm thicker than the Apple iPod nano. The gadget sports a 2.4 inch QVGA display, 8GB storage capacity, an FM tuner, and video and audio playback. You can expect to see the M6se hit the U.S. this August. No word yet on pricing.

Sony PMX-M70 is available in capacities of 2GB, 4GB, or 8GB flash memory and comes equipped with a 4.3 inch wide-screen. It plays MP4 and AVI video, MP3 and WMA music files. Measuring 16.7mm x 74.4mm x 12.7mm, the PMP also features FM tuner, built-in speakers, TV-out, direct video encoding, audio encoding, voice recorder, photo viewer, clock and calendar. The PMX-M70 comes in red and black. Sony developed this new PMP for the Chinese market, where it is currently released and promoted with the new Spider-man 3 movie.

Epson P-3000 is a hard drive-based portable media player that comes with 40GB worth of storage space and plays H.264 format videos on its 4 inch display. Its battery provides three hours of playback time for video, and six hours for audio. Epson P-3000 retails for $499.

Tomato Korea has introduced the slim U24 PMP that comes with a crisp and sharp 2.4 inch color screen capable of 260,000 colors. The player also offers 2GB or 4GB of onboard memory, a voice recorder, and an E-Book reader. The onboard memory can be further expanded via the Micro SD card slot. The Tomato U24 PMP is now available only in Korea with the 2GB version for $85 and 4GB for $ 108.
