
Korean Giant Samsung Electronics will launch the YP-M1 Portable Media Player. Available in black and white, this music player features a 3.3-inch wide AMOLED touchscreen with an nVidia Tegra chipset for HD video playback, Samsung’s DNSe 3.0 technology, T-DMB, an FM radio, a dictionary function and a stereo speaker. The gadget also supports also features most of famous multimedia formats including MPEG4, XviD, H.264, MP3, and WMV. Measuring 9.9-mm thick, the 8GB Samsung YP-M1 is priced at 299,000 Won or around $252. The company will also release a 16GB and a 32GB models in the near future. Laptop manufacturer MSI has entered the Porable Media Player market by releasing the MT-V656. The gadget boasts a 3-inch LCD display, a silver casing, a video output, an FM tuner, an e-book reader, a digital voice recorder, games, and support for around 26 different languages. The player also support most of famous multimedia formats including MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, APE, ACC, OGG, MPEG-4, XviD, DivX, and WMV. It is common for navigation gadgets come with a PMP functionality. One of the latest GPS navigation gadgets in the market is the APSI C100 that features a large touchscreen display that can be removed from the windshield mount/dock and used as a portable media player. The gadget can also be used to control your sound/media system when connected to the dock in your car. Samsung’s new M1 portable media player is able to produce 720p HD video playback on its Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting (AMOLED) display thanks to the powerful nVidia Tegra ultra low-power High Definition (HD) mobile processor. The gadget also supports wireless mobile games in amazing 2D/3D graphics, an advanced audio functionality, and a Flash-based 3D user interface. Century has unveiled their latest GPS navigation system. The SKN1-7_0L comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display at 480 x 234 resolution, a Telechips 7901 DUAL 498MHz processor, a 1Seg TV tuner, an SDHC memory card slot, a 64MB RAM, a 128MB internal memory and SKYTRAQ 20-Channel GPS. Ainol will release the V8000HD portable media player that will be available in three models including the V8000HDG (Jetfire) with a 5-inch 800×480 touchscreen, the V8000HDB (Defcon) with a 4.3-inch 480×272 display and the V8000HDA (Metorplex) that gets a 4.3-inch 800×480 touchscreen display. All of these media players support for H.264 (MPEG4-AVC) decoding and playback of MKV, MOV, PMP, MP4 video files. Other features include an HDMI output and a USB connectivity. iRiver has finally introduced its iRiver E200 PMP. The gadget comes jam packed with a 2.8-inch OLED display and supports FLAC, RMVB and Xvid file formats. The COWON S9 digital media player that was released at the end of last year in titanium black and chrome black is now available in ceramic white. The gadget provides a 8GB or 16GB of storage capacity with a 3.3 inch OLED screen (480 x 272), and Bluetooth connectivity. Here are two leaked pictures of the upcoming iRiver E200 that has a similar design with its E100 predecessor, despite a new thinner, all-metal design, and a larger screen. The E200 comes with a 2.8-inch display OLED screen with a 4GB or 8GB storage space that can be upgradable via a MicroSD card slot. The new player has been slimmed down to 9.9mm, versus the E100′s 11.3mm. Other features include touch-sensitive controls and interface. No word on pricing or availability at this time. Read more

The C500HD is Teclast’s latest portable media player that is HD ready, capable of supporting 720p video. The player also has an HDMI output allowing you to enjoy your downloaded HD videos in 720p quality with a HD reader LCD/plasma TV. Unfortunately, the gadget only supports a 4GB of storage space, which is not enough to store huge HD video files. The gadget also features a 5-inch LCD display at 800 x 600 resolution.
