Korean giant Samsung has recently rolled out their latest DAP, the Yepp YP-P3. This iPod Touch competitor comes jam packed with a 3 inch 480×272 touchscreen display with haptic feedback and an improved UI. The gadget is able to play music, flash files, videos, and eBooks. Some dudes at Philips have recently introduced a few new digital audio players in the form of the Raga, Spark, and Luxe (pictured). The Raga offers 2GB or 4GB of storage space, a small multi-line display, 27 hours of audio playback time per charge and will retail for $35 or $45, depending on the memory size. Meanwhile, the Spark comes with a 1.5 inch OLED color display with clix-style navigation and sub-$60 price tag. The last one is the LUXE that boasts the Bluetooth connectivity. Cowon will launch the Cowon S9 MP3 player in Korea on December 16th. The gadget boasts a 3.3-inch AMOLED capacitive touch panel display that provides 16 million colors on 480 x 272 pixels resolution. The player is powered by a 500MHz dual-core CPU, and supports T-DMB digital television tuner, Bluetooth, FM radio, text/photo viewer, electronic dictionary function, TV-out, and G-Sensor accelerometer. The S9 also supports user interface of touchscreen, gravity sensor, zoom in/out flash menu and video clip preview function. Its battery provides up to 55 hours of music playback, 11 hours of video playback, and up to 350 hours of standby time. The Cowon S9 is available in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB storage space. Energy Sistem releases the 4040 Touch portable media player that comes with some high-end features including a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a built-in microphone, an FM tuner, and supports for most of audio and video file formats. The Energy Sistem 4040 Touch PMP is priced at only €120. The company also releases the 5020 and 5021 models, which drop the touchscreen and cut the storage down to 4GB. The Korean manufacturer Maxian has announced the spanking new M1 EDU PMP that comes equipped with Dual Core CPU running on WinCe 5.0 and has a 3.5 inch touchscreen LCD, digital TV (DMB), FM radio, an SD card slot, and compatible with video codecs (Mpeg 1 to 4, WMV, AVI) and MP3 or WMA format files.
