
Sony will launch three new Personal Navigation Devices (PND) from the Nav-U series in Japan. Known as the Nav-U NV-U77VT, NV-U77V and NV-U37. Both Sony Nav-U NV-U77VT and NV-U77V feature a 1Seg TV tuner, a 4.8-inch display screen, an audio/ video player, an 8GB of internal memory and Bluetooth connectivity. The Sony Nav-U NV-U37 is waterproof (IPX5) and has a compact GPS, an 8GB of internal memory and a 3.5-inch QVGA (320×240) display screen. No word on pricing or availability so far. [Sony]

TomTom is back with its latest Portable Navigation Device (PND) at CES 2011. Known as the TomTom Go Live 2505 M, the gadget comes with a 5-inch glass touchpanel, Bluetooth handsfree calling support, pinch-to-zoom mapping and a newfangled voice recognition system. This new GPS navigation gadget also provides the full suite of LIVE services, including TomTom HD traffic, local search, fuel prices and weather updates. Korea based Woongjin today rolled out the Go&Joy PND for the Korean market. The gadget is able to display both 2D and 3D maps as well as 3D GUI. The Go&Joy can also be used as a PMP with the support of different video and audio format and thanks to its 900MHz processor. There is no info on pricing or availability at this time. Century has unveiled their latest GPS navigation system. The SKN1-7_0L comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display at 480 x 234 resolution, a Telechips 7901 DUAL 498MHz processor, a 1Seg TV tuner, an SDHC memory card slot, a 64MB RAM, a 128MB internal memory and SKYTRAQ 20-Channel GPS. This PND also supports a wide variety of popular audio and video file formats and runs on the Windows CE 5.0 operating system. [Century]

Details of Garmin’s upcoming Personal Navigation Device ‘nuvi 1690′ have emerged over on the FCC website. It’s said that this connected PND will feature a built-in cellular modem, an in house service called nuinfo allowing users to search for information through Google Local search and Bluetooth connectivity. Other interesting features will include lane assist, junction view, live traffic information and a current temperature feature. A product announcement is tipped for September. [GPS Tracklog]

Trywin has released the DTN-VX003 Personal Navigation Device in the Japanese market. Weighing 160grams, the gadget comes equipped with a 4.1 touchscreen OLED display (480×272), a 4GB of internal memory, an SD/SDHC slot, a Digital TV 1Seg, and an FM Radio with FM Transmitter. The gadget supports WMV/AVI and ASF video files and MP3 and WMA audio files. People in Japan can buy this PND for 44,800 Yen or around $469. [Product Page]

Looks like multi-functional portable navigation devices are starting to drop in price and the Marbella 8800 is one of them. It comes filled with PMP functions, AV-in, and a 2 megapixel digital camera, along with a SiRF Star III GPS chip for a cheap price of $160. It is still unknown whether it will be brought to the U.S or when it will be dropped period, but it shouldn’t be long considering the specs and price have been revealed. [Navigadget]
