I-O Data will update its optical storage with the introduction of the DVRP-U8SLE series portable DVD writer. Available in black and white, the slim DVD burner measures 137-mm x 154-mm x 20-mm and weights 320-grams. The I-O Data DVRP-U8SLE features a USB 2.0 interface, a maximum write speeds of 8x for DVD-R/+R SL and DVD+RW, 6x for DVD-R/+R DL and DVD-RW, 5x for DVD-RAM, 24x for CD-R and 16x for CD-RW. Sony will release their latest A-Series Walkman that comes with a touchscreen display. Measuring at just 7.2mm thin, the Sony NWA840 A-Series Walkman features a 2.8-inch OLED display with a TV-out function that can output 720 x 480 resolution video, a digital noise canceling, an S-Master digital amplifier, and an FM radio. The gadget supports MP3, WMA, AAC, HE-AAC, ATRAC, ATRAC AL, PCM/WAV, AVC (H2.64), MPEG-4 and WMV file formats. The first generation of pico projectors come with poor performance and battery life. The new PK102 from Optoma provides higher contrast ratio with a lower price tag. The new projector boasts a 2000:1 contrast ratio, a 4GB of on-board memory and a on-screen menu. That’s certainly big enough for a couple episodes of this or that, or a few home movies. LG has entered the portable hard drive market by releasing the XD3 Slim portable HDDs that measure at only 13mm slim. These hard drives also come equipped with rubber-padded sides for impact protection. The XD3 Slim connects to the computer via USB 2.0 or SATA II.
