Printing on CDs and DVDs can be a difficult task and it usually ends up looking terrible. Using Dymo DiscPainter CD/DVD printer makes the printing tasks fun and easy. The printer spins from the inside out at about 600 DPI a minute. The DiscPainter hits retailers in October for $279 and that includes a USB 2.0 cable, AC power supply, three inkjet printable discs, and a full-color ink cartridge, which is good for approximately 100 discs.
HP recently announced the availability of its CM1015MFP Color LaserJet Series. This Multi-function Printer is an affordable solution to all your lasers print, copy, and scan requirements. It features 2.4-inch color graphical display, improved efficiency with built-in network connectivity and HP ColorSphere toner delivers brilliant color that makes images pop. No word on pricing or availability so far.
Samsung has unveiled its slim mono laser printer the ML-1631K(Swan) and its mono laser MFP SCX-4501K(Logan) during IFA 2007. Based on the concept of “Slim, Sleek and Silent”, the ML-1631K and the SCX-4501K are designed as high-end printer matching with modern office environment. Both gadgets will be released in early September in the Korea market.
The Epson Stylus C120 is one of the fastest document inkjet printers. It gives quality finished prints with Black text up to 37 ppm, 20 ppm color and a separate Laser quality print mode offering black text at 25 ppm and vivid color images at 11 ppm. The C120 is using the instant drying DURABrite Ultra Ink for brilliant, smudge resistant prints. The printer also gives an option to replace only the color that you need with individual ink cartridges. You can get the Epson Stylus C120 in the nearest store for only $90.
Epson today announced three new all-in-ones printers that enhance productivity and convenience for the small office and home office environments. In addition, the Stylus CX8400 is equipped with a 2.5-inch LCD, and prints at 32 ppm in both black and color. Both printers are able to print pictures directly from memory card or camera, so you won’t need the PC to print your favorite photos. The Epson Stylus CX7400, CX8400 and CX9400Fax are priced at $70, $100, and $150 respectively.
Polaroids were cool, but when the digital era wipes the market with cheaper, more efficient products it seems like a waste to use Polaroids anymore. Enter Zink, the zero-ink digital camera / printer combo which uses dye crystals and polymer overcoat papers to produce pictures instantly just the way Polaroids did in the old days. The difference is that Zink lets you choose which pictures you want to print. Shipping in late 2007, Zink has released some specs — 7mpx CCD, 2″ display and SD memory slot — which are not all that IMHO but it’s interesting nonetheless to see how this big clunk works.
Samsung introduced a new color printer that allows you to take printouts without connecting it to a PC. You can store scanned images in USB flash disk and print them. The SCX-1650 prints black & white page at 30ppm and color page at 24ppm at 4800×1200 dpi resolution. The device also sports ID card copying button, Bluetooth, PictBridge and SmarThruTM program which enables you to send scanned images via e-mail without the need of a computer. The Samsung SCX-1650 costs about $140 in the Korean market.
HP has introduced one more member in the family of its photo printers by releasing the HP Photo smart A628. This compact photo printer comes jam packed with a 4.8 inch smart touch screen display which can be operated with the mere usage of fingertip or touch pen. The printer will be released in August with a suggested price tag of $210.
Dell has announced the availability of a compact color laser printer, 1320c, that provides sharp, professional laser-quality output. Designed for home/business environment, the printer prints at 12 ppm (in color) and at 16 ppm (in monochrome) and offers 600×600 dpi resolution, 250-sheet drawer, and 64MB memory. The device also sports Color Track 2 network printer management software and Toner Management System. Dell 1320c retails for $299.
