Epson has rolled out its new professional-level inkjet printer, the Stylus Pro 3880 “Signature Worthy” Edition. This 17-inch printer features extra-wide color gamuts with nine of Epson’s own UltraChrome K3 inks for more vivid magenta tones as well as deeper hues of blue and violet. The special edition printer comes equipped with six letter-sized packs of a matching line of “Signature Worthy” papers including Exhibition Fiber, Cold Press Bright, Cold Press Natural, Hot Press Bright, Hot Press Natural papers, and a sampler pack of other photo and fine art-grade papers. The printer also features an advanced B&W Photo mode as well as auto-switching Matte and Photo black inks depending on the paper used. Epson America today introduced the Artisan 837 and Artisan 730 wireless all-in-one printers for photo and technology enthusiasts. Both models allow users to print, scan and access memory card slots from any room in the house with built-in wireless and Ethernet networking. The Epson Artisan 837 and 730 also offer Epson Connect for hassle-free printing on-the-go. With Epson Connect, mobile device users can print web pages, photos, documents, and e-mail attachments directly from tablets, smartphones and other mobile devices. The difference between the two models is that the flagship Epson Artisan 837 also offers high-speed color copying and faxing with a 30-page Automatic Document Feeder. Canon has rolled out the Pixma iP4920 photo inkjet printer and Pixma MG5320 Wireless Photo all-in-one device. The Canon Pixma iP4920 photo inkjet printer uses the ChromaLife100 + ink system4 with five individual ink tanks, allowing the printer to produce a 4-inch x 6-inch borderless photo in approximately 20 seconds. The Pixma MG5320 Wireless Photo all-in-one device adopts the same ink system and is capable of a similar printing performance, but can additionally be used as a photocopier and a scanner. The Canon Pixma iP4920 photo inkjet printer is priced at $99.99, while the Pixma MG5320 Wireless Photo all-in-one device retails for $149.99. [Engadget]

The Objet260 Connex is an office-friendly version of Objet’s line of multi-material 3D printers. The gadget allows users to create prototypes containing distinct material elements, such as rigid walls with flexible, rubber-like joints or models combining transparent and opaque parts. Using Objet’s patented simultaneous multi-material jetting technology, the Objet260 Connex can print up to 14 different material properties within a single printed part. The 3D printer has a 260mm x 260mm x 200mm (10.2-inch x 10.2-inch x 7.9-inch) tray size and uses sealed material cartridges that are easy to insert and remove. Kim Su Yeon has designed the printer concept that removes the ink from the printed-paper. The Ink Remover Printer uses the laser technology to clear the ink from the paper, so that it can be re-used. LG Electronics and Memjet have collaborated to release the Machjet LPP6010N, which is claimed to be the world’s fastest A4 color printer. The Machjet is able to produce 60 1600x800dpi pages per minutes thank to Memjet’s proprietary Page Straight Array (PSA) technology. This technology packs more than 70,000 ink nozzles on a single printhead, allowing the printer to deliver more than 700 million drops of ink per second on a page. Samsung has unveiled two silent printers in the form of the ML4510 and ML-5010 series. Designed for business users, both A3/A4 printers produce only a 54dB of noise. These printers also adopt the anti-jam technology, which will make our life easier. Designed to handle printing, scanning, faxing and photocopying, the ESP Office 2170 uses WiFi to communicate with your computer. This all-in-one printer also supports direct printing from BlackBerry and iOS devices such as iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
