Sony FP97 and FP67 Portable Photo Printers

Sony offers two new lightweight photo printers that will make it easy for those who want to print photos anywhere and anytime. The $120 DPP-FP67 and $200 DPP-FP97 are able to create 4 x 6 prints in 45 and 67 seconds, respectively. Both printers support a variety of cards including SD, SDHC, MMC, xD and Memory Stick. The printer can also be connected to any of Sony’s digital S-Frame models via a USB connection. You can enjoy an HD slideshow with the Sony DPP-FP97 photo printer since it has an HDMI-out port (the cable itself is not included). The Sony FP97 and FP67 will be released in May. [dcviews]

Sharp comes out with the latest Aquos Photo Player range, with the HN-PP100 and HN-PP150. Both devices are actually a combination of a photo printer (300 x 300 dpi) and a memory card reader. You can easily display your favorite photos on a TV (several slideshow options are available), print them, and access them if you have an NAS (only possible with the HN-PP150 and its DLNA function). Kodak comes back with two new All-in-One printers in the form of the ESP 7 and ESP 9. The ESP 7 printer features a large 3 inch LCD display, USB and memory card slots for easy image preview, and can connect to the computers/ laptops via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Meanwhile, the ESP 9 offers fax capability, an auto-document feeder, and an integrated duplexer. It has a 10 inch one-touch control panel that makes printing, copying, scanning and faxing easy. Epson Offers New Stylus Printers

Epson today released new Stylus printers, the NX300, NX200 and NX100. The Epson Stylus NX300 is able to fax documents and boasts a 30-page Auto Document Feeder (ADF). This printer is rated to print at speeds up to 31ppm. The fax function has a 100-page memory and supports ABBYY FineReader OCR software that can turn printed documents into editable text. The Epson Stylus NX200 allows users to print without a PC via its built-in memory card reader or Epson’s PictBridge USB interface. It is also capable of print 32ppm in black and color. The Epson Stylus NX100 can print 26ppm in black or 14ppm in color.

All of these printers features four ink cartridge slots and come equipped with photo enhancing software allowing users to create border-free prints up to 8.5 by 11 inches in size. The NX100, NX200 and NX300 are priced at $70, $80 and $90, respectively. [Electronista]

Canon is famous for its inkjet printers. This time, the company has unveiled a new consumer class printer that supports an Ethernet connection just in case there in no local Wi-Fi network. Other features include five individual ink tanks, memory card slots, and a 2.5 inch LCD display. The printer is also able to print 4 inch x 6 inch paper within 41 seconds. Canon U.S.A has unveiled the latest PIXMA iP4600 and PIXMA iP3600 printers earlier today. The new Canon Pixma printers feature an enhanced ChromaLife100+ with a minimum one-picoliter droplet size and up to 9600 x 2400 dpi color resolution, to produce beautiful long-lasting photos (up to 300 years, with original ink and paper from canon). You can also print photos directly from a compatible digital camera or camera phone – no computer required! While both print with stunning details of 9600 x 2400 dpi, iP3600 is slightly slower at 21 ppm color (oppose to 26 ppm) and has smaller paper tray for lesser documents than its iP4600 counterpart. The Epson Stylus Photo 2880 will be released next month. Priced at $799.99, the printer adopts the same print engine as the higher-end Stylus Pro x880 models, including the same Ultrachrome K3 inkset, which replace standard Magenta and Light Magenta with a Vivid Magenta and Vivid Light Magenta in addition to the standard lineup of Cyan, Yellow, Light Cyan, Light Black, Light Light Black, and Matte or Photo Black. Samsung Releases The Smallest Color Laser Printers

Samsung Korea has reelased the world’s smallest color laser printers; the CLP-315K and CLX-3175FNK. The CLP-315K is equipped with NO-NOIS print engine that offers a resolution of 2,400 x 600 dpi, 32MB of internal memory, 16 pages per minutes(black) and 4 pages per minutes(color). This printer is 20% smaller than the previous CLP-300 model.

Samsung has also released the CLX-3175FNK laser printer with a built-in scanner and fax. It is 40% smaller than the previous generation, CLX-3160 series.
