Panasonic PT-AX200U HD Projector

The new Panasonic PT-AX200U projector boasts a 1,280 x 720 native resolution, a 220-W UHM lamp and optical unit that generate 2,000 lumens of brightness, 6,000:1 contrast ratio, two HDMI ports, and the company’s own Light Harmonizer 2 image technology. This HD projector should be available in October. Pricing info is still unknown.

Panasonic PT-AE2000U LCD 1080p Projector

Panasonic’s PT-AE2000U is a HT-centric LCD projector which comes with a stunning 1,920 x 1,080 native resolution, 1,500 lumens of brightness, and 10,000:1 contrast ratio. Available in black, the projector also includes Panny’s Detail Clarity Processor to sharpen up those edges, Pure Color Filter Pro, and Smooth Screen technology to “reduce the black lines between pixels.” Additionally, this projector features Split Adjust mode which “allows users to split the screen into two halves, one to make picture adjustments and one to see those adjustments as a baseline reference”. It also comes with three HDMI ports. The Panasonic PT-AE2000U will be available in October. No word on pricing so far.

Epson Japan Releases Two New LCD Projectors

Epson Japan unveiled two new LCD projectors. The Dreamio EMP-TWD10 is more expensive than the later and features 720P – 0.55 type 1280 x 800 LCD, Stereo speakers, HDMI output and a lamp with an output of 140 Watts, 1200 Lumina and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. The Dreamio EMP-DM1 on the other hand lacks a HDMI output. It only sports resolution of 854×480 pixels and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. Both the models are fitted with a DVD player and come with USB ports for playback of MP3/WMA and JPEG files. The Epson EMP-TWD10 and EMP-DM1 projectors will go on sale in Japan from September 19th for $1,300 and $820 respectively.

Samsung has released its latest projector which is targeted towards the creative industry and the home theater enthusiasts. The Samsung SP-A800B 1080p DLP Projector provides ultimate picture quality with Full HD 1920 X 1080p resolution, and offers 1000 ANSI Im brightness from the 300W bulb. What’s more, the firm also supplies two HDMI ports, an analog PC connection, two component, one S-Video, standard video and a RS-232C. No word on pricing or availability so far.

Toshiba TDP-EW25 And TDP-EX20 DLP Projectors

Toshiba unveiled two new DLP projectors. The TDP-EW25 offers you a WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, 2600 lumen, and a 2000:1 contrast ratio image, while the TDP-EX20 provides you all the same specs, but with a reduced resolution XGA (1024 x 768), and 2300 lumen picture. The TDP-EW25 boasts a 1.2 meter throw distance, while the TDP-EX20 features 1.5 meter throw distance. The TDP-EW25 will be available in Japan on October 25th for about $3,900, while the TDP-EX20 will retail for around $3,400 when it goes on sale September 20th.

Epson Ensemble 1080 Home Theatre System

If you want to buy a home theater system, you can choose the Ensemble Home Cinema system from Epson. The system consists of an Epson Powerlite Cinema 1080p 3LCD front projector, projector mount, 100-inch motorized screen, an integrated Atlantic Technology 5.1 surround sound system, 10-inch 50-watt subwoofer, AV controller, dual HDMI inputs and 1080p up converting DVD player and with all the needed cables. This home theater system offers two versions, 1080p and 720p home theater. Both will be available in November for $7000 and $5000 respectively.

Projection Design Action! M25 HD Projector

Projection Design introduced the Action! M25 which is claimed to be the world’s smallest 1080p projector. It is powered by a single-chip 0.95-inch TI DMD, 1920 x 1080 dot resolution, 5000:1 contrast ratio with a 220W UHP Lamp throwing 1000 Lumens of brightness. The device has a HDMI, HDCP enabled DVI, a Ethernet and RS-232C terminal for controlling the projector via a IP address. The Projection Design Action! The Upcoming Sanyo PLV-Z5 Projector

There is a rumor which said that Sanyo will release the PLV-Z5 projector later this year. It will be featured a contrast ratio of 14,000 to 1, and full HD support at 1,920 x 1,080p resolution. Sadly, there is no word yet on pricing. Release date rumors range from July to November 2007.
