
Sanyo North America will launch a new Full HD projector developed for the professional market, the Sanyo PLC-HP7000L. This high-end projector adopts the company’s QuaDrive engine to achieve a brightness level of 7,000 Lumens with just a single lamp and a 1920×1080 resolution with an exceptional color reproduction. The Mili Pro v2.0 is a portable video projector for Apple’s iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Sony Japan today unveiled the VPL-HW30ES SXRD 3D projector, which comes with significantly reduced 3D Crosstalk thanks to the 240Hz SXRD panel drive system. The projector features a 70,000:1 contrast ratio, a 1,300 lumens of brightness and picture adjustment settings. It will work with Sony’s active shutter 3D glasses which are newer and lighter. Panasonic has introduced a new ultra-portable projector for business and education purposes. Dubbed as the PT-LB3U, the projector features a resolution of 1024 x 768, a 3,200 Lumens of brightness and a 600:1 of contrast ratio. Measuring 307mm x 69mm x 210mm and weighing 2.3 Kg, the Panasonic PT-LB3U also uses a new lamp drive system, allowing the lamp to last up to 5,000-hour. The projector can also be mounted on the ceiling or placed on a desktop. Connectivity options include dual VGA inputs, LAN port, S-video, a serial input, and a single composite connection. Do you still remember the Hitachi iPJ-AW250N ultimate interactive projector that we posted on February 2011? Hitachi America has finally released this short throw projector. The iPJ-AW250N comes bundled with software for teaching users how to build interactive presentations, and tools for building those presentations. Mitsubishi has recently launched its new EST (extreme short-throw) ultra-short throw projectors, the WD380U-EST and XD380U-EST. Both projectors feature high-quality short throw-lenses, which provides better quality images and has a longer shelf life than regular projectors. The WD380U-EST and XD380U-EST projectors feature USBA+ B inputs for computer-free presentations, LAN display, a built-in 10-watt speaker, audio standby, closed captioning and 3D-ready capabilities, with brightness levels rated at 2,800 and 2,500 lumens. Hitachi is back with two new super-short focus projectors namely the CP-A300NJ and CP-AW250NJ. Based on the company’s first generation super-short focus projector the CP-A100J, these new models are capable to project up to 80-inch image in only 23cm away from the screen. The Hitachi CP-A300NJ offers a XGA resolution with a 3000 Lumens brightness, while the Hitachi AW250NJ features a WXGA resolution and a 2500 Lumens brightness. Casio today rolled out a couple of new projectors that come equipped with a Laser and LED hybrid light source. Dubbed as the XJ-H1650 and H1600, both projectors achieve high brightness without the use of a high-pressure mercury lamp, by projecting three colors through a DLP chip: red emitted by a high-lumen red LED, green converted from blue laser light with a phosphor, and blue emitted by a high-lumen blue LED.
