Epson’s VS200 is an affordable projector that comes equipped with 2,300 lumens of output, the ability to work with just a USB cable connection, a 800 x 600 pixel resolution (SVGA) and a 4:3 aspect ratio. Priced at only $429 a pop, the projector measures 3-inch x 12-inch x 9-inch and weights 5.1 pounds. Acer has rolled out the C20 pico projector that measures 118mm x 60.8mm x 18.6mm and weights at just 166 grams. This ultra-portable projector projects images at 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution with a 2,000:1 contrast ratio. The Acer C20 uses a LED bulb with a lifetime of up to 20,000-hour, and can easily be connected to a laptop, cell phone or camcorder via a built-in USB and HDMI ports. Still remember the Mitsubishi HC4000 projector? The company has decided to release this high-definition home theater at CEDIA show in Atlanta, September 23-27, 2010. Mitsubishi’s new HC4000 projector uses Texas Instruments’ latest 1080p DLP chip, the DarkChip 3 with BrilliantColor. The projector produces 1300 Lumens of brightness and provides up to 750:1 ANSI contrast ratio. The HC4000 also boasts super-sharp, all-glass lenses for rich, vivid realistic images. Sony today released the new the VPL-VW90ES, the company’s first 3D front projector. Designed with the custom and specialty consumer electronics market in mind, the Silicon X-tal Reflective Display (SXRD) full HD (1920 x 1080) projector delivers film-like performance with Sony’s 24p True Cinema. The projector also supports the frame sequential 3D technology with active-shutter glasses that work together with Sony’s proprietary 240Hz high frame rate technology, delivering smooth, full high-definition 3D images.
What’s more, this high-end projector uses a single Ultra High Performance (UHP) lamp that provides brightness of 1,000 ANSI lumens, while the company’s Advanced Iris 3 technology helps to produce a dynamic contrast ratio of 150,000:1. Sharp is ready to launch the new XV-Z17000 3D-ready DLP projector for the mass market. This projector uses a single-chip DLP design to deliver a contrast ratio of up to 30,000:1, a brightness level of up to 1,600 ANSI lumens and an included 3D glasses. JVC today introduced the DLA-VS2100U D-ILA projector at 2010 FSEMC in Brighton, U.K. It is actually the latest addition to JVC’s Visualization Series. The JVC DLA-VS2100U has a new optical engine that uses three D-ILA imagers to produce a 1920×1080 native resolution and a 20,000:1 native contrast ratio. The new projector also uses a 220W UHP lamp, delivering 1000 ANSI Lumens. Additional features include two HDMI ports, a VGA input, and an anti-smear reduction mode, which reduces image smearing during fast-motion scenes through frame insertion or black frame insertion without sacrificing light output. Dubbed as the MP160 and MP180, both pico projectors boast 30 lumens of brightness, a built-in speaker, two hours of battery life and an SVGA resolution, which is perfect for business professionals to share presentations, video and more virtually anywhere. The 3M MP180 allows you to present PowerPoint files, videos, photos or documents, at the touch of a button. Additional specs include a touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an integrated MP3 player, a 4GB of internal memory, a micro SD card slot, and a USB port. The 3M MP160 also offers the same brightness, resolution and portability as the MP180, at a lower price point. Each purchase of the MP160 comes equipped with VGA and composite video cables, which makes it easy to connect this projector to virtually any gadget that outputs video. If you are looking for a new pico projector, then check out the Toshiba Lumileo P100. Measuring 116mm x 50mm x 18mm and weighing 96 grams (with the battery installed), the ultra-portable projector provides a resolution of 640 x 480 with a 14 Lumens brightness, a contrast ratio of 200:1, RCA and VGA inputs, a manual focus and a 0.5W stereo speaker.
