Logitech’s newest Sony PlayStation 3 accessory, the Cordless Vantage Headset, sports Bluetooth technology to provide games with a wireless connection and has noise-cancelling microphone which will block out other sounds in the room. It has a rechargeable battery that will provide up to 12 days of continuous use. Charging of the battery can be done via the included AC adapter or a USB cable(not included). Logitech’s Cordless Vantage Headset will be available in November for $79.99.
Sony released the PlayStation 3 v1.92 firmware update. The update appears limited to performance enhancements for the PlayStation Store and PlayStation 2 game support.
Electronic Arts’ The Simpsons Game will be released in October 30th, 2007. The game will be available for Sony PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii. Hit the play button to watch the trailer.
The Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock comes bundled with the all-new wireless Gibson Les Paul guitar controller. Sony turned its Playstation booth at the Games Convention into a bathroom for this year’s Games Convention in Leipzig. Visitors sit on toilet seats to play with Playstation 3. The Games convention runs from August 22 to 26, 2007. One more pic after the break.
Here’s good news for Sony Playstation fans. Now you can get the 60GB Sony PlayStation 3 for only $349 at the Sony Style Store, this is only if you sign up for a Sony Card as well. This offer is only available in The States.
We’re starting to think the hefty price tag that Sony is charging for the PS3 is a bargain. How did we come to this revelation? Some wackos put a Sony PS3 console through a gauntlet of 108 Hour madness. Different games, different conditions, different uses such as a typical 73 degree fahrenheit room, the back of a freezer van, and a sauna. The thing is still working fine after all this mayhem.
Sony has released the official details regarding the pricing and availability of the 80GB PlayStation 3. The 80GB model is available for $599 (or $659 CND for those to the north) and comes bundled with the hit online-enabled off-road racing game MotorStorm.
EA Sports shows us some new screenshots of NHL 08, which showcases some of the game’s new features. Some of the new features include “On the Fly AI” and “Create a Play.” NHL 08 is currently available for pre-order on EA’s website, and will be released in September 11th.
