
QNAP has added three new Turbo NAS servers to its range by unveiling the single-bay TS-112 (pictured above), dual-bay TS-212 and quad-bay TS-412. Designed for SOHO (small office/home office) and home users, these devices are equipped with a 1.2GHz Marvell 6281 processor, a 256MB of DDR2 memory, a 16MB of flash storage, Gigabit Ethernet, 3/4 USB 2.0 ports and have a built-in UPnP media server (TwonkyMedia) feature for playing content via a media player or a console (PS3 or Xbox 360). QNAP has added a new Network Attached Storage (NAS) device to its range by introducing the TS-439 Pro II+. Designed for small business users, the device is equipped with a mono-LCD display, a 1.8GHz Intel Atom single-core processor, a 1GB RAM and can house up to four 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA hard drives. No to mention, the device also supports for advanced RAID configurations (online RAID capacity expansion, online RAID level migration and RAID recovery) and comes bundled with the version 3.3 of QNAP NAS management software. QNAP is ready to release the new NMP-1000P networked media player, which is an upgrade version of the NMP-1000. The gadget is powered by Sigma Designs’ latest 667Mhz processor, which is capable of full 1080p HD video alongside Dolby and DTS multi-channel surround sound. This gadget can double as NAS device, for file sharing and PC backup (compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux), when equipped with a 3.5-inch SATA hard drive.
