What makes this refrigerator special is that it has a pair of built-in cameras, allowing you to check what is stored in each compartment. LG is back with the brand new 385-liter bottom freezer, which blends the company’s Linear Compressor technology with a classy, contemporary design. LG’s Linear Compressor technology frees up approximately 50 liters of extra storage space compared with standard 2-meter tall bottom freezers. LG’s Opti Temp Zone system optimizes the inner temperature depending on the kind of food being stored, with fish and meat kept at -1ºC (30ºF) and vegetables and fruit at 2ºC (36ºF). Some models also incorporate LG’s innovative Vita Light Zone, which includes an LED that replicates sunlight to preserve fruit and vegetables longer. Designed by Yuriy Dmitriev, the Electrolux Bio Robot Refrigerator is a concept where the Bio Robot cools biopolymer gel through luminescence. A non-sticky gel surrounds the food item when shoved into the biopolymer gel, creating separate pods. The design features no doors or drawers, and the food items are individually cooled at their optimal temperature thanks to the robot. Read more

Samsung has recently unveiled the new Zipel e-diary refrigerator for the South Korean market. It features a 10-inch touchscreen display, WiFi and is compatible with DLNA devices. Its touchscreen display can be used to show current weather conditions, more than 500 different kinds of food with their nutritional content and news from the internet. Available in cream white pattern, the Zipel e-diary retails for $2170. Samsung also announced a luxurious refrigerator that is designed by Italian jewelry designer, Massimo Zucchi. At a volume of 29-cubic-feet and offering a 16% increase in useable space while retaining the same footprint, Samsung is billing its latest French Door Refrigerator as the world’s largest. Available from next month, the new French Door Refrigerator (model RFG297) gains its extra volume within the same overall size through the use of high-rate urethane insulation technology which reduces wall thickness from 2.04 inches to 1.38 inches and provides an extra 4 cubic feet of storage or 16%.
