Enterprising Interaction Design student Jordi Parra based at the Umea Institute of Design in Sweden has designed the Spotify Concept Mobile Player that allows you to listen to your favorite tunes from any room in within range of your Wi-Fi. The player features a couple of buttons for previous and next track and a volume control. There are also 192 LED nodes, which display volume levels, battery life, and Internet connectivity on the device’s face. What’s more, the Spotify Mobile Player also uses radio frequency identification (or RFID) technology. Watch the video after the jump to get more details. Read more

Designed by Matt Brown, the RFID Radio uses a built-in RFID tag that can interact with a speaker to broadcast messages or change the radio to a pre-decided station. Made from laser cut paper, the RFID Radio is designed to be used by musicians, charities and designers. Sadly, it is only a concept. There is no word on pricing or availability so far. [Mocoloco]

Combining advanced features with a slick design, this fridge uses “RFID technology to informs users on what items it contains, possible recipes, and your food’s sell by date.” It also alarms the user when hot food is placed in the fridge, and automatically turns compartments off when not in use. And to top this eco theme off, all materials are biodegradable or recyclable. No word yet on availability. [Yanko]
