Ricoh will be dropping a rough and tough digital camera this May called the G600 Point-and-Shoot. The G600 Point and Shoot 10-megapiel camera features a 2.7-inch LCD, 28-140mm wide-zoom lens, 5x optical zoom, USB connectivity, ISO 3200 capability and a shock-resistant feature that also repels dust and water. Look for the G600 this May as we said for about £349.99 ($693). [Engadget via Digital Camera Blog]

Ricoh has dropped two new digital cameras called the aluminum R8 and R50. The R8 comes with a 10 megapixel camera, 1/2.3-inch CCD covered with a 7.1x optical zoom lens, the back has a 2.7-inch LCD with CCD-shift image stabilization and smooth imaging engine III processing on the inside. Both should drop in Japan in March for about $460 and $280 for the R50 featuring a 10 megapixel sensor, processing engine, and stabilization with a 5X optical zoom. The Ricoh R7 digital camera features 8.1MP sensor with the 7.1x wide zoom lens and a Smooth Engine III image processing which should help quiet the noise at higher ISOs. Available in silver, black, and orange, the digicam will be available next month for around $465 in the UK.

Ricoh will launch its new digicam very soon. Dubbed as the Caplio GX100, the camera provides high picture quality because it features the high-speed F2.5 aperture and high-performance 24 to 72 mm wide zoom lens (35mm film equivalent). The gadget also features a 10.01 megapixel CCD, “Smooth Imaging Engine II”, and a 2.5 LCD with a 170-degree viewing angle. The attachable electronic viewfinder is very useful on a sunny day and provides 100% image coverage with synchronized focal length and no parallax error. The Caplio GX100 sports SDHC cards and uses AAA batteries when you run out of charge.
