The new Roland SPD-SX is a replacement for the previously released SPD-S. Measuring 364mm x 331mm x 94mm and weighing at only 5 lbs, the new sampling pad features 9 velocity-sensitive rubber pads, 2 external dual-trigger inputs and a 2GB of internal memory, enabling approximately 360 minutes of sampling (mono) without requiring external memory. Roland DG Corporation has announced the availability of the iModela iM-01. The 3D printer comes bundled with the iModela Creator design software, allowing users to create a wide range of items such as charms, pendants and key chains. The gadget uses a mix of plastic, wax, balsa wood, and foam to produce small figurines or accessories. What’s more, the iModela iM-01 connects to the Windows-powered computer via a USB port.
