Samsung wants you to play your DVD’s in style this time with the glossy DVD player that lacks reals buttons but instead get touch sensitive glossed-on buttons. Aka the Samsung DVD-F1080, this DVD player also features 1080p upscaling ability via HDMI as well as support for DivX, MP3, WMA, JPEG and MPEG-4 clips. For $111, I’d have to say this looks like a promising DVD player that’s very well portable and not too pricey.

This spring Samsung will add its compact range with the i80, i100 and S1060. The 8.1 mega pixel i80 features 3x optical zoom, 3-inch Intelligent LCD screen, Intelligent Face Recognition Technology for better people shots, Digital Image Stabilisation system, an ISO of 3200 and an integrated MP3 player.
The 10.2 mega pixel i100 also features 3x optical zoom, 3-inch screen, Intelligent Face Recognition Technology, ISO 3200, Dual Image Stabilisation system, media player and an in-built ‘World Tour Guide’ function which provides instant access to travel information covering 30 countries. The 10.2 mega-pixel S1060 has 5x optical zoom, 5x digital zoom and ISO 1600. There’s also a 2.7-inch LCD screen, Digital Image Stabilisation system and Intelligent Face Recognition Technology, which can recognize the faces of up to nine people, setting the appropriate exposure to ensure the highest image quality. Still no prices announced.
Samsung recently released their beautiful fashion phones, SGH-L310 and SGH-L320. Each features 2.0 Megapixel camera with Mp3 player and external memory slot and Bluetooth® connectivity. These phones will be available in Russian and Hungarian market in February with price tagged at €240 for the L310 and €220 for the L320. Samsung has just released their new bagless vacuum cleaner, the Silencio SC9540, sophisticated and powerful tools, also quieter than ever so you can clean at any time of the day or night. Samsung has just dropped their new desktop called the Magic Station MV70. It runs on Intel’s 45nm Core 2 Duo CPU (Wolfdale). It also features a 500GB of HDD in SATA II, 2GB in RAM, a GeForce 8500GT, a Blu-Ray drive and runs on Vista Home Premium. Price and availability are still unknown but I have a feeling it wont be available to the U.S. market.
Macworld has recently displayed some new Samsung LCD monitors, one of which is pictured known as the 2693HM. It comes with a resolution of 1920×1200, Contrast of 1000:1, Brightness: 400cd, Viewing Angle: 160/160, Inputs: VGA, DVI, HDMI as well as integrated speakers. What’s even better is that you get all these excellent features for only $699.

Sprint is now selling direct connect handsets by Motorola, known as the i570, i335 and the i880.The Motorola i570 is a clamshell phone with internal color display, external display, and an advanced user interface that has one-touch shortcuts to phone features, an icon-driven menu and five-way navigation.The Motorola i335 features a sleek, slim form factor like a candy bar is both Bluetooth compatible and certified to Military Standard 810 F for dust, shock and vibration. The i880 is now available in a red color and grey. The i880 features a 2 MP camera along with an MP3 player, Bluetooth, MicroSD card slot, video recording capability, dual-ported front stereo speakers.The i570 is available for $99.99 while the i335 cis $49.99. And the i880 is available for as $299.99.
Vodophone is now offering the new Samsung F700V Blanco cell phone for the UK market. It features touch and keyboard controls, a 3 megapixel camera and microSD card support. The F700V is a tri-band GSM handset (900, 1800, 1900) with EDGE and HSDPA, capable of mobile broadband speeds of up to 7.2Mbps. Other features include a document viewer, an FM radio, a music and video player with a good number of formats supported, A2DP Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR and drag and drop file transfer. No price or release date has been stated.
This quarter anybody with Verizon will surely appreciate both the LG VX9100 and the Samsung U940 phones both with outstanding features. The U940 features a 5-megapixel camera, HSDPA with speeds up to 7.6Mbps, a “drag and drop” touch interface on a 2.78 inch color display, VibeTonz technology, and a full QWERTY keyboard. The LG VX9100 as far as specs go will come with EV-DO. No price or release date is available at the moment.
Since Blu-ray seems to be winning the HD format war, it might be a good idea to pick the winning side and buy a Blu-ray Entertainment Center. The Samsung HT-BD2 features a Samsung Blu-ray player and an 1100 watt 7.1 channel setup that supports dts-HD and Dolby True HD for exceptional sound.
