Samsung BD-D7000 3D Blu-ray Player Released In South Korea

Samsung has finally launched the BD-D7000 3D Blu-ray player in South Korea. This portable Blu-ray player has a slot-loading disc drive with touch-sensitive buttons at the front. The BD-D7000 upconverts 2D Blu-ray titles to near 3D image quality. In order to view movies in 3D, you need to connect a 3D-compliant AV receiver and a 3D-compliant TV to the player using HDMI cables, and play the 3D content while wearing 3D glasses. What’s more, the Samsung BD-D7000 also features a built-in Wi-Fi and Samsung Smart Hub, allowing you to download various free or paid apps and a range of Internet services and content including news, weather forecasts, stock market quotes, games, movies and music. Samsung 300dpi WQXGA PenTile Prototype Display

Samsung Electronics and Nouvoyance will introduce a 10.1-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) format PenTile RGBW tablet display at the SID Display Week 2011 International Symposium. The display adopts the Samsung PenTile display technology. It is the only display technology that operates at 40 percent less power yet provides twice that of Full HD-viewing performance for consumers compared to legacy RGB stripe LCDs. The new display also supports an outdoor brightness mode of as much as 600 cd/m2 luminance with a color gamut of 72 percent.
