Sanyo is famous for its Xacti waterproof camcorder. The company has recently unveiled their new Xacti DMX-CA8 camcorder that provides 8MP CMOS sensor, 5x optical Zoom, face Chaser mode that does facial recognition even when underwater, compatible with JIS IPX5 and IPX8 Japanese standard, waterproof up to 1 hour underwater at 1.5m depth, and can record video files in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 at 60fps in VGA. Because this baby is an ultra-compact High Definition 720p digital MPEG-4 camcorder with a 5x optical zoom. Which means the movies you make with it will be on par with your brand new HDTV. Which means the $299 price tag is a super muper good deal. The only problem is that this may or may not hit your doorsteps before Christmas.
