The FCC has approved the Sanyo Katana II a.k.a. SCP-6650. The phone features a 2.5mm headset jack, a camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and an internal antenna, Pricing and availability info are still in a mystery.

Sanyo Xacti E1 camcorder is said to be the first waterproof camcorder in the world. Unfortunately, it has a maximum depth level of a mere 5 feet, and that also for just 30 minutes. The camcorder also does not support High Definition recording, writing H.264 MPEG 4 video onto an SD or SDHC memory card directly. The Xacti E1 waterproof camcorder will be available this June. There is a rumor which said that Sanyo will release the PLV-Z5 projector later this year. It will be featured a contrast ratio of 14,000 to 1, and full HD support at 1,920 x 1,080p resolution. Sadly, there is no word yet on pricing. Release date rumors range from July to November 2007.

Sanyo Japan’s NV-SB250DT GPS unit sports a 4.5 inch high resolution touchscreen display and 2GB of memory. The gadget doubles as an entertainment center because you can play majority of audio and video files. As a portable TV, you can also watch digital TV when on the move. The unit has a SD card slot for loading up the latest maps and songs. The Sanyo NV-SB250DT measures 83mm × 143mm × 34.5mm and weighs 340grams. The GPS unit goes on sale in Japan from April 24 for approx. $835.

Sanyo has recently released its newest shaver model, SV-RX10, in Chicago at IHS 2007. The company claims that the SV-RX10 is the fastest rechargeable shaver in the world with a full recharging time of 9 minutes. FYI, the shaver features a 4.8v motor and a quadruple blade system. Sanyo showed off its waterproof TV at CeBIT in Hanover, Germany. This 42 Inch weatherproof TV is probably the biggest HD-ready waterproof TV in the world. Dubbed as the Sanyo 42LM4WPR-E, it comes with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, a brightness level of 500 cd/m², and a contrast ratio of 800 to 1. Pricing and availability details are still unknown.

Sanyo has rolled out the Xacti 2.0 digicam or DMX-CG65, which supports for H.264 format and features 18MB of internal memory. The DMX-CG65 also sports SDHC cards up to 8GB and comes equipped with a brand new image processing engine. Other features include 6MP CCD sensor, 5X optical zoom, 2.5 inch screen and VGA recording at 30 FPS (3 MBps).
Its battery has 70 minutes of video recording and 200 minutes of playback time (155 snaps). The good news is that this device can also be charged via USB. It will be available in silver, black and the bright green. Measuring 67.7mm × 34.5mm × 100.3mm and weighing 170grams, the Sanyo Xacti 2.0 will be available by late April in Japan for $425.

Sanyo introduced the successor of the Sanyo Xacti HD, dubbed as the Xacti HD2. Sanyo claims that the camera has an improved video quality in dark conditions by up to 75% over the Xacti HD. Unfortunately, this 7.1 MP digicam doesn’t come with an SD card.
