
Sapphire’s brand new ATX motherboard ‘Pure Platinum Z68′ has finally been shipped in Europe. Based on Intel Z68 chipset, the board supports for LGA1155 processors and features an 8+3 phase power design, four DDR3-1600+ memory slots and three PCI-Express x16 slots (CrossFireX is supported). In terms of connectivity, it comes with four SATA 6.0 Gbps, four SATA 3.0 Gbps, Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 3.0, 7.1 channel audio, D-Sub, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort. Sapphire has once again expanded its line of mini PCs by bringing you the EDGE-HD2. Powered by a 1.8GHz Intel Atom D525 dual-core processor, this space-saving machine sports a NVIDIA ION 2 GPU with 512MB RAM, a 2GB DDR3 RAM, a 320GB hard drive, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, 4x USB 2.0 ports, a D-Sub output, an HDMI output and is pre-loaded with Free DOS (Windows 7 Ultimate OS optional). Sapphire has recently unveiled the pictures of its upcoming Radeon HD 6790 graphics card. Set to be lunched on April 5th, the card is said to feature 800 Stream Processors, a 256-bit memory interface, 40 Texture Units, a GPU clock of 840MHz, a 1GB of GDDR5 memory set @ 4200MHz and have a custom dual-slot, single-fan cooling system. The Saphhire Edge-HD Mini PC is claimed to be the world’s smallest desktop. Based on an nVidia ION 2 platform, the Edge-HD Mini is powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom D510 processor, a 2GB memory, a 250GB hard drive, Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, VGA, HDMI, RJ-45 Gigabit Lan, and 4x USB 2.0 Ports. The computer comes equipped with a 1GB USB drive (pre-loaded with drivers and manual), 1 x HDMI cable, and 1 x HDMI to DVI adapter. The Sapphire EDGE-HD Mini PC consumes only around 22 Watts under load, making it one of the Greenest PC solutions available. Sapphire Technology has showed off their newest factory overclocked graphics card in the form of the Radeon HD 6850 Toxic Edition. Based on 40nm Barts GPU, the card integrates 960 Stream Processors, a 256-bit memory interface, a GPU clock of 820MHz, a 1GB of GDDR5 VRAM set @ 4400MHz and has a dual-slot, three-heatpipe cooling system. The card also comes with a number of connectivity ports including dual DVI, HDMI 1.4 and dual mini DisplayPort 1.2, and supports both DirectX 11 as well as CrossFireX technology. Featuring a blue PCB, the card comes equipped with 400 Stream Processors, a 128-bit memory interface, a core clock of 775MHz, a 1GB of GDDR5 VRAM set @ 4000MHz and an aluminum heatsink with two heatpipes. Not to worry, the card also supports DirectX 11 technology and offers DVI, HDMI as well as DisplayPort outputs. Sapphire Technology is preparing to launch a new AMD 890GX-based motherboard in the form of the PURE CrossFireX 890GX. This new motherboard supports for AM3 processors and features an integrated Radeon HD 4290 DirectX 10.1 graphics card, a 128MB of DDR3 SidePort memory, four DDR3-1600 memory slots and two PCI-Express x16 slots for CrossFireX setups.
