Canon has announced the availability of the imageFORMULA DR-M140 document scanner in the US market. Designed for offices, the scanner is able to handle up to 6,000 scans per day and supports a fast colour scanning of up to 80ipm at 300dpi. Measuring 3.7-inch x 12.3-inch x 7.1-inch (with trays closed) and weighing 5.7 lb., the DR-140 scanner adopts the Character Emphasis and Auto Resolution settings to help improve the legibility of hard-to-capture documents and the clarity of the image. Apparent today introduced the Doxie Go portable cordless scanner. The device is able to scan paper, photos, and receipts without a computer. It has the ability to scan a full color page in only 8 seconds and send scanned documents or images to cloud services including Dropbox, Google Docs and Evernote. The Doxie Go also provides a microSD card slot, Doxie 2.0 companion software and a USB port. It has a built-in battery that can be recharged via your computer’s USB port. HP has unveiled the TopShot Laserjet Pro M275, which is known as the world’s first web-connected Color Laser MFP with the ability to scan objects in 3D. The device is able to capture six images of an object and combines them into a 3D picture, which can then be posted directly to the web. The HP TopShot LaserJet Pro M275 supports HP ePrint and AirPrint for wirelessly printing from iOS devices. What makes this printer more interesting is that it can print documents up to 17ppm in black-and-white or 4ppm in color. Additional specs include a 3.5-inch color touchscreen display. The Canon Easy-PhotoPrint mobile app allows users to print PDFs directly from compatible wireless devices.
