Sharp UK has finally launched the Sharp DKAP7 iPod dock that is currently available in Black/White, Black/Silver, and Black/Red color combinations. The 2.1 channel portable speaker system is compatible with iPods up to 4th generation and has a built-in subwoofer with the HDSS technology. Sharp Japan has announced their LX series of LED TV that is currently available in 40, 42, 52 and 60-inch models. The LED panel provides a full HD resolution of 1,920 × 1,080 pixels, a contrast ratio of 200,0000:1, a 176 degree viewing angle and a white LED backlit which consumes 30% less power. Additional features include a six speaker sound system which delivers 2.1 channel sound, Analog / Digital TV tuner, Ethernet port and three HDMI ports. Sharp has recently unveiled their upcoming Mobile Internet Device ‘NetWalker’ for the Japanese market. Powered by a 800MHz Freescale i.MX515 processor, this new MID offers a 5-inch touchscreen display with 1024 x 600 resolution, a full QWERTY keyboard layout, a 512MB RAM, a 4GB of storage, a microSDHC card slot, WiFi, two USB 2.0 ports, a miniUSB 2.0 port, 10 hours of battery life and runs on Ubuntu Linux 9.04 OS. Sharp has rolled out the LE600 and LE700 LED TV series. The former comes in 32-inch, 40-inch and 46-inch models, meanwhile the latter has all those plus the added advantage of a 52-inch model. Both the LE600 and LE70 series feature Full HD resolution, LED backlights, a contrast ratio of 4,000:1, Sharp’s “X-Gen Panel” with its proprietary “Mega Contrast” and “Brilliant colour Processor” technology. The Sharp LE700 is better than the LE600 because it has a quick 4ms response time, four HDMI ports, and a USB port that allows playback of MP3 and JPEG files directly from a USB Flash drive.
