Sharp will release a new phone in Germany through Vodafone. The Sharp 880SH mobile phone features a clean front, with call receive/hangup buttons and navigational keys. The handset comes in a slider design, and is compatible with HSDPA/EDGE/GPRS for network access. The device is equipped with a 2.2 inch QVGA LCD, and a 2.0MP shooter. The Sharp 880SH doubles up as your music player, and features an integrated FM radio for added entertainment. No word on pricing yet.

Here is Sharp’s prototype LCD (not OLED) which comes jam packed with a 100,000:1 contrast ratio into a 52-inch LCD display only 20-mm (0.78-inches) thick. The entire TV measures only 29-mm or 1.14-inches at its thickest point while covering 150% of the NTSC color gamut and consuming just 140 kWh/year. We can expect these new TVs sometime in 2010. Sharp’s WX-T81′s 3G phone comes jam packed with dual screen which are a 2.2″ LCD screen that supports up to 240 x 320 resolutions, and a 262K ASV-CGS color display. The flip phone also comes equipped with dual cameras, which are a 1.1MP for video conferencing and a 2.0MP and photos snapping. As usual, there is no word yet on pricing or availability.

Sharp Japan has announced its five new digital TV tuners which will be available in capacities from 250GB to 1TB. One of them is the DV-ACW80 which features 1TB hard drive, two digital tuner, and one analog tuner. The recorder also sports EPG (Electronic programming guide) and comes equipped with 2 x USB ports for transferring photographs. Measuring 434mm × 343mm × 68mm and weighing 6kg, the Sharp AQUOS DV-ACW80 recorder goes on sale in Japan from August 21 for approx. $1550.

The Sharp WillCOM W-ZERO 3 smartphone will receive an upgrade including a slimmer body (17.9mm), and a new 3 inch 480 x 800 LCD display. The phone runs on Windows Mobile Classic. Other features include a numeric keypad, a sliding QWERTY keyboad, and a mini USB port where you can hook up an external Bluetooth or GPS module. No word on the pricing or availability yet.

The Sharp EM-ONE comes with a slide up display that reveals a QWERTY keyboard. The gadget comes with a WiFi connectivity, and a digital camera. Here is the brand new e-dictionaries from Sharp, the RD-CX200 and RD-CX300. Both devices feature similar technical specifications including a simply unbelievable number of translations in English, a superb 4.3 inches screen, SD slot, and the support of MPEG-4 and WMV videos along with an FM tuner, MP3 player, E-book. No word on pricing yet.

Sharp Japan has released five new additions to its Aquos R series, including the 5 new TV’s measure 42 inch, 46 inch, 52 inch, 57 inch and 65inch. They supports full HD resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels, double-speed advanced super view which prevents the motion blur on fast scenes, 3000:1 of contrast ratio, 450 cd/m2 of brightness level, and a quick 3ms of response time. These HD LCDs also come with an analog / digital tuner and a 2.1 channel speaker system with a 1 bit amplifier for superior sound. The new Sharp Aquos R series will go on sale in Japan from March 10 this year. No info on pricing yet. Stay tuned for more updates!
